RENEW THE FIRE
FROM THE PASTOR
What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering? Southern Baptist churches collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting international missions. Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board’s overseas budget, thus supporting our missionaries and their work.
The goal for the 2010 offering is $175 million. Our church’s goal (as set by our Mission Ministries Team) is $12000.00. The 2010 theme, “Are we there yet?” reflects the fact that for the first time in history, we can identify the people groups that remain
untouched by the Gospel. We can get there in our generation! But that last part of the journey may be the hardest. It will take all of us—our churches, our missionaries, our national partners, our Great Commission partners—to achieve that goal.

Volume 1, Issue 1 Pray and Dream with us ated their building process. Two years ago, we formed an ad hoc committee to do some research and make recommendations to the church. The ad hoc committee has scheduled a lunch meeting on Sunday, February 27 immediately after the morning service to discuss our future. We need everyone to be there.
Would you make this a matter of daily prayer? We need to ask for God’s wisdom and his guidance. We are excited to see what God has in store for us. Our location does not change the heart that God has given us “to make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples…” Lakan
