he summer months went by fast, vacation is over for most of us, schools started again so did our busy schedules. The summer months were productive months for the Sales team of Coldwell and we were fortunate to have over 10 closings. Even though that the economic recession and the elections in many of our key markets (The US, Holland, Venezuela) make prospect Buyers, cautious Buyers, we are happy to see that Aruba remains one of the most popular islands in the Caribbean to invest in! That is good news for all of us. I am proud to report that Ellen Aartsen, from our Sales department, was internationally recognized for her sales volumes, both in homes sold as well as in $, Ellen now is a proud member of the elilte Coldwell Banker International Sterling Society!. We also added a new member to our Sales Team, Anne Staal joined us and brings with him a number of years of experience in real estate sales in Aruba. Anne joined us just in time to be present at the Opening of our 2nd office in Aruba, early October we will be opening an office in the Radisson Blue Resort on Palm Beach. This office will allow the visitors to Aruba to walk from their own hotel to our Coldwell Banker Radisson office and receive the latest info about Aruba's real estate. In our next newsletter we will have more info. They're perfect for people who like a maintenance-free lifestyle. But before buying, ensure you must do your legwork. Here are some fundamental points to consider:

*Storage. Some condos have storage lockers, however you will not usually find any basements or attics to store your extra possessions. *Outdoors space. Yards and outdoor areas are often smaller in condos, if you enjoy relaxing in a garden or entertaining friends outdoors, a condo may not be the ideal place for you. However if you dread working in the garden, this may be the perfect option for you. *Amenities. Many condos have pools and fitness centers, together with other facilities that would otherwise be very pricey in a family home. *Maintenance. Many condos have on-site maintenance personnel to take care of communal areas, carry out repairs within your unit, and let in workers when you're not home - very good news if you travel a lot. *Security.
