(2) 12” pillows, (2) 14” pillows, and (1) 16” pillow

12” Pillow - (makes 1) (shown in front)

Materials You Will Need:

Cutting Directions:

3/8 yard of a large blue floral 12” Fairfield poly fil soft touch pillow form

From the large blue floral, cut: (1) 12-1/2” square (2) 9” x 12-1/2” pieces

Sewing Directions:

(Seam allowance is 1/4” unless stated otherwise)

1. Turn under 1” on one short side of each 9” x 12-1/2“ large blue floral pieces. Turn under 1” again and topstitch to make a double hem. These will be the pillow back panels.

2. Place the back panels, right sides together, on the pillow front overlapping the hemmed edges. Pin in place.

3. Sew around all four sides of the pillow. Turn right side out and insert the pillow form.


14” Pillow - (makes 1) (shown on sides)

Materials You Will Need:

Cutting Directions:

Fat eighth of (5) assorted dark prints Fat eighth of (4) assorted light prints Fat quarter of a backing fabric 14” Fairfield poly fil soft touch pillow form

From each of the dark and light prints, cut: (1) 6” square From the backing fabric, cut: (2) 10-1/2” x 14-1/2” pieces

Sewing Directions:

(Seam allowance is 1/4” unless stated otherwise)

1. Lay out the (9) 6” light and dark squares in (3) rows of (3) squares each, alternating the light and dark squares in a checkerboard fashion, as shown. Sew the squares together in each row. Join the rows to make the pillow front.

2. Turn under 1” on one short side of each 10-1/2” x 14-1/2“ backing pieces. Turn under 1” again and topstitch to make a double hem. These will be the pillow back panels.

3. Place the back panels, right sides together, on the pillow front overlapping the hemmed edges. Pin in place.

4. Sew around all four sides of the pillow. Turn right side out and insert the pillow form.

16” Pillow - (makes 1) (shown center back)

Cutting Directions:

1/2 yard of a large blue floral print 1/4 yard of a contrasting pink print 16” Fairfield poly fil soft touch pillow form

From the large blue floral, cut: (2) 6-1/2” x 14-1/2“ pieces (2) 10” x 16-1/2“ pieces From the contrasting pink print, cut: (1) 2-1/2” x 14-1/2” strip (2) 1-1/2” x 14-1/2” strips (2) 1-1/2” x 16-1/2” strips


Sewing Directions:

(Seam allowance is 1/4” unless stated otherwise)

1. Sew the 2-1/2” x 14-1/2” pink strip between (2) 6-1/2” x 14-1/2” large blue floral pieces.

2. Stitch a 1-1/2” x 14-1/2” pink strip to the sides of the center, as shown. Stitch a 1-1/2” x 16-1/2” pink strip to the top and bottom of the center.

3. Turn under 1” on one short side of each 10-1/2” x 16-1/2“ large blue floral pieces. Turn under 1” again and topstitch to make a double hem. These will be the pillow back panels.

4. Place the back panels, right sides together, on the pillow front overlapping the hemmed edges. Pin in place.

5. Sew around all four sides of the pillow. Turn right side out and insert the pillow form.
