Suddenly, you are surrounded by celebration. Not long after, the planning begins. I remember the moment I said “yes” and immediately stepped into that season. It was one of the happiest times of my life, yet it flew by far too quickly.

Looking back, I realize how easy it was to get caught up in the tiny details that, on my wedding day, did not really matter. My hope for you is that you do not just step into your engaged era. Along the way, there are so many moments to look forward to: engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelor and bachelorette celebrations, dress shopping (and that unforgettable second “yes”), venue tours, and food tastings. It is often the first real glimpse into what building a life together looks like. In between those big moments are the quiet ones. The unexpected “this is really happening” moments.
