Central Board Elections 2014 52 Organizations, 9 Clusters, 1 Council.

III. PLATFORM 1)

Main Point: Redefining Administrative Processes Details: There are common and recurring problems within the cluster that have to be resolved: • Improved calendaring of events to avoid coinciding events of the cluster to the organization and among the organizations themselves. • TranSem, PlanSem, PlEvSem and EvSem’s functions should be delineated. TranSem is transitioning seminar for both the outgoing and incoming presidents to have a better grasp of the cluster, while PlanSem, PlEvSem and EvSem are strictly for planning and evaluation – by this time, the cluster should have already known the cluster. • General Assembly – Delineate the cluster’s objectives and functions to all outgoing and incoming officers. In the GA, the COA EB is invited to respond to the concerns of the COR.

2)

Main Point: Enhancing Visibility Details: To utilize the social media as means of information dissemination. • SBC Newsletter – An online gazette which includes SBC projects that has happened for the past month, projects to watch out for and open areas and its available schedules. • Portfolio – Both an online and tangible material that will incorporate the organization’s thrusts and advocacies. • Facebook and Twitter – Maximize the operations of these social networks to promote all projects of the seven organizations. • Coordination of the SecGens – Provide a system where the announcements from one org, for example, open areas or advocacy projects, that are open to all Ateneans, should be promoted by the SecGens of every org. Other than establishing rapport between organizations, this is to increase the reach and support of promo materials and announcements.

3)

Main Point: Exposure and Continuity Details: There is always a surplus of help in the Ateneo, meaning that the passion and the desire to help is very natural to Ateneans – but the problem is, we don’t have enough avenue. By creating avenues, I envision a community with sustainable desire to volunteer. To be able to increase recognition, I propose a better execution for SBC Week: • All that has been done for V-Week 2014 will be retained. NGOs will be invited to take part and share their advocacies. • Mini-projects – It does not need to be big; For example, sandwich making with the kids from this org, painting 101 with the kids from this org, and the like. This is to increase awareness and to let the Atenean student body experience volunteering firsthand.

4)

Main Point: Impact and Growth Details: COA’s main function is to ensure organizational growth. There will be monthly progress reports to ensure that the direction of the organization is not straying away from their mission, vision, goals and plans of action. Monthly progress reports should contain projects and efforts that have taken place, its unbiased evaluation and SWOT analysis.

5)

Main Point: Relationships, Collaborations and Sponsorships Details: The diversity of members from SBC is not a weakness but rather s strength. • To foster internal relationships, I believe that the BACON Sessions, where all of the EB of the same position of every organization meet and discuss matters, strengths and points for improvement, is effective. Besides building healthy rapport between organizations, it helps the organization assess and modify its process or system. • To promote advocacies within the Ateneo, I envision collaborations with other clusters. By partnering up with clusters, there is stronger support and wider reach. With the help of big organizations, advocacies and projects are better spread out and disseminated. • To build lasting and more efficient sponsorships, as secretary-treasurer, I will create an extensive marketing black book that will comprise of all of the seven organizations’ marketing contacts to alleviate the need of different organizations when it comes to flagship projects (e.g. tents, tables and chairs, etc.)
