How long have you served in your current position? In education? I’ve been with Jeffco Public Schools for 10 years. How do you encourage creative thinking within your organization? Creative thinking is encouraged by allowing time to “push” on existing systems. Setting high standards and creative thinking can pave the way. Where do the great ideas come from in your organization? Great ideas come from all areas of the organization, you just have to take time to listen. What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess? Humility. What advice would you give someone going into a leadership position for the first time? Never lose sight of what is important. Leadership comes with many distractions, focus on what is important.
