THE BEE TIMES THE OFFICIAL CNH DISTRICT NEWSLETTER
Hello once again CNH Bees! Can you believe that this is already the second to last issue of the term? Time surely flew, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re having fun! District Convention is only a month away now and I hope you’re all as excited as I am. If you have not already registered for DCON, late registration is due by February 11th, so please make sure you complete that in a timely manner. SENIORS - As we embark on our last semester of high school, make sure you keep applying for scholarships and take as many opportunities as you can. CNH offers many scholarship opportunities and I hope that you have applied to them! Find more information on them by going to cnhkeyclub.org>kiwanis family & foundation>scholarships.

governor. Hello CNH Bees! Thank you for reading the second-to-last district newsletter of the term! We’ve made it this far into the term with all the accomplishments we’ve made, and I want to congratulate every one of you busy bees out there! Thank you for serving your home, school, and community! As conclave season passes, please congratulate your new Lieutenant Governor Elects and wish them the best of luck in the following term! Also, as club elections begin, please don’t be afraid to shoot your shot at an officer position that you really want to serve on! If you have any questions about it, please contact your club officers or your Lieutenant Governor! Good luck to everyone! As you all may know, District Convention is going to be at Reno, Nevada this year on March 13th to 15th! The deadline for registration has already closed, but you can still register with a late fee! Don’t miss out on the biggest event of the year! You will have the chance to meet new friends, learn more about Key Club and service, and elect your incoming District Executives! It really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If you need help registering, please let me know! I hope to see you there! This is it for me this issue! As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me! Thank you!
treasurer. Greetings CNH! Can you believe that District Convention 2020 is only one month away? Now that we have found our next generation of Lieutenant Governors, I can’t wait to see what DCON will bring. In preparation for District Convention, please be sure to pay for any outstanding fees due and also educate the members you serve about the election process. Fundraisers are a really great way to lower the cost of convention fees! Speaking of fundraising, we have raised $262825.24 for the Pediatric Trauma Program! This is the most that our district has ever raised. Thank you all for contributing to history with me. Although there are only a month away til DCON, that does not mean that you should stop fundraising. Let’s end this term on a strong note. Finally, I am doing my best to get the last few clubs dues paid. We are still missing a handful and I hope that by District Convention, we can get everyone paid. This will lower the rate of clubs who get suspended and decrease the risk of them having their charter revoked. If you know any clubs that have yet to pay their dues, please assist me by letting them know or pointing them into my direction. Thank you for all your service Bees! I can’t wait to see you all soon. Let’s take some cute picture together.
secretary. Greetings, CNH! Welcome to the month of February—while our term is almost coming to a close, remember to push strong as these final months are the most vital. Especially for monthly reporting, it is crucial that all service hours are documented into club monthly report forms. Aside from reporting, I’d like to encourage you all to keep your New Year Resolutions in mind. Remember to never lose sight of them, as the the year is still new. Now that it is February, it is crucial to ensure that all club elections are taking place by the end of this month. By the end of the month, District Convention (DCON) will be there in a blink of an eye. In fact, by mid-March, the new term will begin so all club officers should have some officer training before DCON 2020. Officers, be sure to work with all advisors and other adults to find chaperones, keeping in mind the student-to-chaperone ratio. DCON is such a meaningful experience, a symbol of not only the end of the term, but to a new beginning full of wonderful opportunities. From the Kiwanis and Service EXPOs, exciting workshops, general sessions, and so much more, there is so much true joy this convention has to offer and I hope to see you there! From the bottom of my heart, it is the greatest honor serving as District Secretary and I am so happy to see our district meet our goals.
int’l trustee Hey Key Clubbers! I hope everything has been going well. Recently I’ve been working on projects for the ICON committee and I-Opp Committee, especially with the Thirst Project for Thirsty 30. Additionally, I’ve been preparing for the International Board’s January board meeting in San Francisco! We hope to plan an amazing convention for you all this summer. Can’t wait to see you all at DCON next month and hopefully International Convention in July! Happy serving!

CAMS Key Club appointed two delegates to be our representatives at the Region Conclave on December 22. We chose Celeste Gastelum, our current Secretary, and Angela Francisco, a dedicated general member. Our specifically supported all three representatives from CAMS Key Club. They were Ryan Son, Cathleen Uy, and Sarah Blosser. We were able to witness Ryan and Cathleen moving onto the nomination conference, and then from there, Ryan winning the position of Lieutenant Governor. We are confident that Ryan will do great things for the division and extremely proud of him. We also got to see the new elects for the other divisions in our region, Javier, Luisa, Anran, and Vyanh.
