An Interview with music artist Jstr33t
Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work, and who were some of your influences growing up? (A) Hi! I go by Jstr33t or jaystreet to pronounce it. My influence growing up was my uncles and aunties who used to sing all the time. I saw how much passion they had when they sang their songs and even had a song group also. I got into music when I was 17, I had gone over to my cousin's homeboy house and he taught me how to use FL studios and since then I’ve been pushing with my heart and soul in music. I also graduated as an audio producer at Fullsail University in 2018.
Q: What kind of training have you had, if any? (A) full training fro. FOH, Mixing, Mastering, all parts of production both personal and commercial.
Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far? (A) my new EP I dropped called “Highlife” on Spotify just search Jstr33t. it's it’s on all major platforms including youtube.
Q: How did you get the gig? (A)Just working and the right people heard me and said make a banging EP.
Q: What sports do you enjoy watching? (A) usually basketball
Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career? (A) really graduating college because I feel education takes you a very long way.
Q: If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be? (A) Trey songz or Usher
Q: What projects do you have coming up? (A) More and more songs to gain exposure.
Q: Who is your inspiration? (A) Literally my life and where I came from.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
(A) Honestly, the stat spikes and I read over “white fang� again.
