TONIGHT—VIP Charity Singles Auction and Party at Rouge Restaurant What are you doing tonight, Wednesday, February 8th — the week before Valentine’s Day? How about going to a great preValentine’s Day party that has all the makings of a fantastic evening! There’ll be music and great hors d’oeuvres, a red-hot flamenco dancing exhibition by Baila Flamenco, a silent auction, a singles auction and loads of new friends to meet... and all of this to benefit an outstanding charity... the Kindness and Caring Foundation (Kindnessandcaring.org) providing food for families in need. Tonight at the gorgeous Rouge Restaurant, located in the Intracoastal Mall, 3957 NE 163rd Street, North Miami Beach 33160, the North Miami Beach Chamber will be auctioning off “the City’s finest to help those in need.” Supporting organizations include the Hallandale Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Aventura Marketing Council. business executives who have gladly placed themselves on the auction block to go out on a date with the highest bidder, all to benefit a charity that helps so many in our community.
North Miami Beach Mayor George Vallejo will serve as Emcee for the silent auction provided by Alpert Enterprises, with great items such as a trip to the ESPY Awards, framed Beatles collectibles and a
trip to the American Music Awards. “We are so fortunate to have the support of our Mayor and City,” said Yona Lunger, president of the North Miami Beach Chamber. “This event is bringing our entire community together and we are looking forward to an evening filled with fun and laughter. And the best part? The number of families that will now have food on their tables!” “The Miami Dade Fire Rescue Department is delighted to support this effort,” added Battalion Chief Hugh Bruder. “Your firefighters are the first responders in times of emergency, and we do so proudly. Tonight, we want to be the ‘first responders’ in helping to feed the hungry through the Kindness and Caring Foundation.” Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the VIP Singles Auction begins at 7:30 p.m. and karaoke begins at 10 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door; group discounts are available.
