“It suits us to be on the peripheries. We’re on the way in or the way out. However you want to look at it,” Stan says. Apostol understood the potential of the Sepulveda Corridor years ago. He also understood our need for more medical services, which is why he has poured his heart into the Manhattan Medical Center (MMC). The 26,298 square-foot surgical-grade medical building sits just south of Manhattan Beach Blvd. on Sepulveda. The project has taken 12 years, surviving the market crash of 2008 and the hurdles involved in the construction of an enormous commercial space in a small town like MB.
