BUSINESS IN MANHATTAN BEACH LOOKS DIFFERENT THAN IT USED TO Of course, we have our staples. Ercs and Simmzy’s are going strong. Growing Wild and Gum Tree are as cute as ever offering a wide variety of eclectic gifts for friends and decor for South Bay homes. We’ve also added a few new restaurants to the Sand Section which I talk about in the Dining spotlight on page 51. But even with all these changes, downtown Manhattan Beach largely looks the same as it always has. It continues to be a bustling mini-metropolis of fine-dining and beachy boutiques. The real difference in Manhattan Beach is popping up and down the Sepulveda Corridor. Everyone’s asking - what’s happening on Sepulveda Boulevard? I interviewed some of Manhattan’s top real estate moguls and local business owners to find out why Sepulveda is seeing such growth and what we can look forward to in 2020.
