The  few  days  I  stayed  in  Ypres  showed  me  how  so  many  lives  were  lost,  Bri0sh,   Australian,  Indian  and  many  more  country  men  have  died.    The  highlights  of  the  visit   were  when  visi0ng  the  moments  because  it  was  a  peaceful  place  where  you  could   also  pay  your  respects.    I  also  learned  that  war  doesn’t  determine  who  is  right  but   determines  who  is  le@.

The  trip  was  a  very  hearBelt  and  emo0onal  journey,  where  the  presence  of  the   soldiers  graves  really  hit  home,  making  me  realise  the  great  sacrifices  by  man  to  make   the  world  we  live  in  today  one  of  freedom.    They  will  be  remembered  in  our  hearts   and  minds  as  long  as  we  live.    God  Bless  them  all.

The  memorials  showed  us  how  many  people  lost  their  lives  and  it  was  shocking  to   see,  hopefully  future  genera0ons  will  con0nue  to  visit  them  and  a  war  like  this  will   never  happen  again.    The  visit  was  really  interes0ng  and  everyone  should  have  this   experience  so  they  know  what  the  soldiers  went  through  so  we  could  be  here  today.

It  has  been  a  mind  blowing  trip;  it  truly  makes  me  grateful  of  all  the  efforts  made  in   the  war.    The  memorials  are  a  true  realisa0on  of  the  vast  amounts  of  people  who   gave  their  lives  for  King  and  country.    It  has  been  so  enriching  and  to  learn  in  depth   history  of  the  Great  War  was  amazing.

We  visited  the  Oval  memorial  and  the  architecture  was  stunning.    I  also  found  quite  a   few  possible  family  members  there  that  I  didn’t  really  know  about  before.

In  my  opinion,  the  0me  I  have  spent  on  the  BaOlefields  tour  was  an  unexplainable   experience,  it  was  both  mesmerising  and  eye  opening.    I  have  for  the  first  0me   properly,  really  started  to  contemplate  the  sacrifices  made  by  the  soldiers  so  we  can   live  the  way  we  do  today.  From  seeing  the  cemeteries  and  monuments  in  both  France   and  Belgium  it  has  made  me  appreciate  the  fallen  soldiers  at  a  much  higher  level  than   ever  before.    Therefore,  I  seriously  appreciate  the  offer  given  to  me  and  my  gra0tude   and  thanks  go  out  to  the  staff  who  made  this  trip  possible.

RIP  to  all  the  soldiers  who  gave  up  their  tomorrow  for  our  today.    The  experience  of   being  able  to  visit  the  cemeteries  was  truly  eye-‐opening  to  the  reality  of  the  Great   War.
