A committed palmares
Le Festival de Cannes nous a ému cette année... Le Festival du Film et la montée des marches étaient pleins de sens et empreints de sensibilité. Cette édition fut bercée d’espoirs et de revendications positives. Les femmes furent à l’honneur, lors de la montée des marches et même dans leurs façons d’être. J’ai senti une astmosphère différente cette année, et les résultats de cette édition témoignent d’une exigeance plus forte encore. La sélection a été parfaite. Le talentueux cinéaste japonais Kore-eda Horikazu a enfin été récompensé avec une belle sélection internationale également à l’honneur. C’est bel et bien un palmarès engagé qui s’est exprimé.

Nous félicitons par ailleurs Cate Blanchett, la présidente du Jury, pour avoir mené cette édition avec raffinement, élègance et subtilité. The Cannes Film Festival moved us this year ... The Film Festival and the climb up the steps were full of meaning and sensitivity. This edition was lulled by hopes and positive demands. The women were in the spotlight, when the steps and even in their ways. I have felt a different atmosphere this year, and the results of this edition bear witness to even greater demands. The selection was perfect. The talented Japanese filmmaker Kore-eda Horikazu has finally been rewarded with a fine international selection also in the spotlight. It is indeed a committed record that has been expressed. We also congratulate Cate Blanchett, the Jury President, for leading this edition with refinement, elegance and subtlety.
