The 9 Lines March 17th~ St. Paddy’s Weekend at C9R
March Madness…...Coming to Cloud 9 Ranch in the form of an ATV Treasure Hunt! March makes all of us start getting ready for spring. This year we are going to kick off our season with a little something different. We hope you will join in the fun! ATV Treasure Hunt: Registration Begins at 1PM Registration Location: Trading Post Parking Lot Entry Fee: $5 per person(16 and Over) Treasure Hunt begins at 1:30PM-As ATV Riders leave the Trading Post Parking Lot they will be handed their list of Clues that lead to the Gnomes. Find as many Gnomes as you can BUT you have to be back by 5PM with your Gnome(s). 5PM-Dirty Gnome Game Begins. How this works, If you bring in a Gnome you are ready to play. Gnome number 1 goes first and picks a prize. Gnome number 2 goes and either takes the prize from #1 or picks a new prize. Do you get the idea???? (it’s like dirty Santa game).
One of the 12 Gnomes Donated for the St. Patty’s Weekend Find the Gnome Treasure Hunt 12 Funny Gnomes And 12 Big Prizes Bonus Prizes Too! Prizes on Display in The Trading Post
What happens if you return without a Gnome? You have the option of buying back in the game. Buy in will cost $10. But don’t sweat it…. The Prizes are well worth it! (And Again...100% of the entry fee goes back to the game) Something you should know…..The Gnomes will be hidden on the Trails. Clues relate to a trail name. So, it is important that you are ready to ride the trails on your Gnome search. Trail Maps are available in the Trading Post.

Cloud 9 Ranch RRC ATV Trail Maps On Sale Now In the Trading Post
Trail Improvement Projects The RRC is working on clearing the trail system of deadfall trees and limbs along with removing the debris left over from the Ranch logging operation. We welcome all too help with this project. The road and trail signs are very important in locating emergencies around the Ranch. Many of the over 800 trail signs are missing and are being remade and installed. If you find a down trail sign please bring it to the RRC portion of the pole building. The RRC is also making Ranch road signs to replace the 40 year old signs or missing road signs. The RRC has three projects approved by the Board. The first is the replacement footbridge for Wilder Campground. It will have a steel structure bolted to the concrete abutments that are already there. The steel hand rail supports struts (14 required) are being built off of the Ranch at this time. These will be welded in place at the Ranch on the main structure I beams. Most of the bridge assembly will take place at the RRC portion of the pole building. The RRC hopes to have the footbridge in place this year. The second project is “Lonnie’s Lookout”. This project requires the brush below the fence to be trimmed back and retaining timbers to be staked to the hillside to hold the top soil for planting wildflowers. The 40 year old fence is being looked into for replacement. The picnic table pads will be repaired along with the parking area and fire ring. Some work has already begun there. The third project is the Hill Country Road circle Memorial Spot. This Memorial Spot is in memory of all the Cloud 9 Members that have “passed”. This area has been cleared of underbrush, a sweetie swing installed and a repaired picnic table placed there. The Ranch Riders Club will be building all wood picnic tables from donated memorial funds there soon and removing the repaired table. A small child swing will be installed soon. Hill Country Road has most of the brush cut back where a car can drive in this area now. The RRC is working with Ranch Management to get the road edge weeds and sprouts mowed and the road graded. So please stop by while out ATV riding or drive out and have a picnic and enjoy. The Ranch Riders Club wish to thank all who volunteered to help on these projects. ~Chuck Ruckdeshell
