There’s no denying that Christmas under usual circumstances can be a tiring, stressful time of year – and that’s before pandemic. That said, Christmas could be a great time to travel and get away from it all. Although spending Christmas in a foreign land can be untraditional, there’s nothing this year that has aligned the way we thought it would and 2020 has had us craving to escape our homes the most. Taking a well-deserved break would be the perfect way to see off this year, wind down and indulge.

Uploading an Instagram photo of you enjoying the sunshine whilst the rest of the UK is suffering the cold, wet weather is what holidays are all about right? You could encounter some rain but there will be several days of sunshine. Admittedly, you might struggle to find a turkey with all the trimmings if you find yourself on a remote island on the big day, but if you’re in a big city, you won’t have to worry about finding a Christmas dinner. Most of the larger hotels will provide a high-quality Christmas dinner and there are plenty of topclass restaurants all over Bangkok that will provide both traditional and modern Christmas meals.
