An interview with: Love Island heartthrob FINLEY TAPP We caught up with Love Island winner Finley to discuss his support on Action for Children’s Secret Santa campaign this Christmas. What are you up to at the moment and how has lockdown been for you? Lockdown 2.0 has been slightly better than the first for us – I think Paige and I have got in to a better routine this time around, we are getting back in to our fitness and eating a lot better.
What are your plans for 2021? Paige and I would love to go on holiday together – we’re desperate to get away and enjoy some hot weather! 2020 has taught us you can’t really plan too far ahead, so I’m just hoping for a better year and will take every day as it comes!
How is it living with Paige, has this bought you closer? Yes definitely. Lockdown has been difficult of course, but it’s also been a blessing in disguise. This time has really allowed us to spend even more time together and get to know each other even better.
Do you have any new year’s resolutions? Get better at taking criticism. That’s what Paige tells me all the time!
How have you been staying fit over lockdown? Both Paige and I were really on it with the gym before lockdown but now we are doing long walks and runs in the evening, we also try to fit in high intensity home workouts where we can too. I’ve also been sharing my fitness journey with my followers on Instagram which is great to keep motivation up. We saw it was your birthday recently, how did you spend it? Paige decorated the flat – it was so cool, we don’t want to take the balloons down! She spoilt me with a lovely breakfast and then we just chilled, had a nice long walk and some drinks in the flat to celebrate in the evening. What are your plans for Christmas this year with Paige? We will wake up together in the flat – our very first Christmas together, we’re so excited! Then we’ll either go up to Scotland or down to Milton Keynes to spend time with family depending on what we’re allowed to do. This year you supported the Action for Children’s Secret Santa campaign. How was it being involved with that and what does it mean to you to be working with them? It’s a brilliant organisation to be on board with. It’s been such a tough year and I think now more than ever we need to try and bring some happiness to as many as possible. To be part of a campaign that specifically helps children has been so special and we were privileged to be involved. What is it that made you want to work with the charity in the first place? We are both passionate about helping those less fortunate. This Christmas for us is about giving back and we felt this was a really important cause to get behind. Do you feel lucky that you can use your platform to promote such an important cause? So lucky! I think if you don’t use your platform for good then it’s a waste. What better way is there to raise awareness and raise money to ensure children have a much happier Christmas.
