The Bay Brasserie At Woolacombe Bay Brasserie, we work hard together with our local suppliers, to source the best ingredients that the land and sea have to offer, from West Country or carefully selected produce from further away. Our seasonal menu is based on a selection of dishes inspired from the international cuisine, with emphasis on the Mediterranean combinations of flavours and British all-time favourites. Besides, we are constantly ‘hunting’ for fresh, local & seasonal ingredients that are only available for a limited time, so, please, ask our staff about our daily specials. The biggest attractions, this summer, are the Lundy Lobsters and cod, the lovely asparagus from Braunton, the gorgeous duck eggs from the nearby farms, the amazing free-range pork from Barnstaple. Children are very welcome in our restaurant and we strongly suggest they try everything on the menu, whilst enjoying the time spent with the family; baby food is also available on request, home made from fresh, healthy ingredients. Our glass atrium is now open for the dogs and we are happy to prepare a little treat for them too, please ask our staff for details. Our food is honest and uncomplicated, our service is friendly and attentive and we hope that you will enjoy your experience in the relaxed atmosphere of our restaurant and bar. If you require side orders to accompany your chosen dish, please select these from our “sides” menu. We regret we are unable to offer alternatives to items which are included on each individual dish. To the best of our knowledge, our dishes do not contain any GM ingredients. Some of our dishes contain nuts, if you have strict dietary requirements, please let us know.

Cheese platter

Choose 3 of our West Country cheeses, served with water crackers, fig salami & seasonal fruit. Quickes smoked Cheddar – made near Exeter, in Devon. This cheddar is matured for 1215 months in a cloth, which gives its distinctive flavour, then smoked for 3-4 hours over oak chips from the farmland (v) Cornish Yarg – it is made near Truro, Cornwall, by traditional methods making it one of the true British artisan cheeses. After the curd is pressed and brined, it is rewrapped carefully in nettles from the surrounding countryside that render this cheese, a wonderful earthy flavour (v) Vulscombe goat’s cheese – made near Tiverton, in Devon, by hand, following a traditional rennet-free method, for a creamy rich, mild flavour (v) Devon Blue – a firm textured, sweet, smooth buttery cheese made with unpasteurised Fresian cow’s milk in Ticklemore, Devon (v) Cornish Brie- made near Newquay, in Cornwall, from pasteurized full fat milk sourced locally. It has a yellow, buttery colour and a melting, smooth texture (v)
