Luxury Getaway Paris
Audrey Hepburn said it best, “Paris is always a good idea”.
love Paris any time of the year, however visiting the City of Love in the fall just might be my favorite. The cooler air, colorful foliage, and how the fashion changes to leather, scarves, and trench coats. Plus, there is a certain magical glow that comes with the changing of the seasons. Imagine the sound of soft french jazz playing in the background as you walk hand-in-hand with your lover along the bank of the Seine River or through the colorful tree-lined paths in the Jardin du Luxembourg. Romance sparks through your entire body as you breathe in the cool Parisian air. Start your day at Café de Flore, one of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris, with an espresso and warm croissant in St-Germain-des-Prés, the center of La Vie Parisienne. Spend your afternoon exploring the many art galleries and boutique shops. You must take a moment in between shopping and gallery hopping to enjoy a glass of Bordeaux at Café de Paris. When you desire something more luxurious, walk down the famous streets of Champs-Élysées and Saint-Honoré to shop for the latest high-end fashion. The City of Love turns into the City of Lights with it’s lively nightlife. Start your evening with a romantic dinner at La Maison de la Truffe - a true truffle lounge, where fresh black or white truffles may be added to any of your dishes. After enjoying an amazing dinner, head to Hôtel Costes Bar, one of Paris’s trendiest spots for an apéritif. Afterwards, make your way to one of the many underground jazz clubs, as you find yourself lost in the music. End your evening with a late night stroll to the Eiffel Tower as you watch it sparkle over the city.
