NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NO.1 Clermont County intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for funding under the Ohio Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and HOME Program, federallyfunded programs administered by the State. The County is eligible for various amounts of FY 2012 funding from these programs, providing it meets applicable program requirements. The first of two or more public hearings will be held on February 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Permit Central, 2275 Bauer Road, Batavia, Ohio, to provide citizens with pertinent information about CDBG and HOME programs, explain eligible activities and program requirements. Based on previous years it is expected that approximately $701,000.00 will be available for the CDBG formula program. The CDBG and HOME programs can fund a broad range of activities, including: economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements; park acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; rehab of housing; and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low and moderateincome persons, aid in the elimination of slums and blight, or meet urgent need of the community.
