The Tale Of Henry and Genevieve

Becoming too proud and in love with his work, Henry, a gene-splicing expert and celebrity, in cloning animals, decides to take on the ultimate project of his life: Cloning his newly deceased wife. During the process DNA from his wife and his animal clients in accidentally mixed without him knowing. His creation is soon brought into this world bearing many hideous deformities and mutations. Locked in a cage for the majority of her life, she escaped to rampage her way through the US and Canada. Now, William must find her and destroy his monster and his wife.

“As we venture on to find my creation, My beast, My mistake I can’t help but wonder How? How this happened or…Why? Why this happened Did my greed get the best of me? Or was it my imagination? Science has no boundaries to me, No Limit, No line. But its morals certainly do. I shouldn’t have done this to her. Slicing. Splicing. Splitting. Her genes were not mine to Mutilate. Her life was not mine to keep. To control or to

Replicate. Or at least attempt to. But I have done it so many times. Peoples pets, livestock and other Four-legged-friends But I got too adventurous. Too cocky. Too proud, in my work. Human cloning? What was I thinking?! And to attempt it Knowing not of the possible outcomes on A soul whom had brought me so much joy, Filled my heart with Wonderful feelings of nothing I had ever felt before. She was the woman I wished to waste away with. I was so foolish. I traveled all over the world, Reuniting people with their lost Animal companions and giving back The light in their lives. I got greedy. If I could clone and animal, a pet, A beast! Why could I not bring this same light To MY doorstep.

Back to MY heart! If these people can be reunited with the things they love, These foul and greedy beings, They don’t deserve that back! I do! I did! But I never stopped to ponder why this would. Why this wasn’t ethical. Human cloning was illegal in the U.S. I didn’t care, I needed her! How dare God keep me from her! What right did He and these laws have? I was a professional! I was. Now, standing here, Gun in hand I find I have become as much of a Beast, as I set out to destroy. My Wife. Though she bared no resemblance To the face I had fallen for. Science and greed had devastated her beauty. Such beauty this woman beheld before this! Beauty that was now replaced with horror With mutations far beyond our imaginations.

No part of her horrendous body had any similarities To the-woman-I-exchanged-vows-with A monster, she was now A monster, I had to kill. I had no idea how to do this. How could I? She was still the woman I had married.

But she has caused as much damage as I had. She’s killed so many people in her livid rampage. Last I heard she was now making her way through Canada. We must now stop her. You are all here for that reason. To help me clean up the mess I have made. I know that when you signed up to fight for our country This was not what you had in mind. Fighting a woman. A single woman! But I will warn you, This is no longer a woman of innocence. So feel no pity in defending yourself and your brothers! Today we fly out to find her. And today we will put out country as well as others At peace knowing that,

They are safe from this beast.

As Henry ended his grand speech The men prepared their parachutes And many prayed to God that they would return home He would protect them. He defied the creations of science. From this demon, He would shower them with guidance. She could not touch the things He is protecting. They all boarded the helicopters anxiously. These spiral-winged-machines would allow them to Spot the beast before she was able to spot them.

She. Many of these men, if not all of them Were unaware of this foul beast’s name. For the name that was actually betrothed to her Far surpassed the beauty which she held now. Her name was Genevieve. Was, and still is. But telling the men her name would have no effect On the opinions held of her. The snipers positioned their guns out the windows of the copters. Taking stance to make sure that if they had the shot, It would be taken.

They began their hunt in Oklahoma. An unlikely place some thought, for such a terrible beast To originate from. After escaping from Henry’s lab she tore her way through Kansas then Nebraska and the Dakotas until she finally breached the Canadian border. An army was waiting there for her but the News of a special weapon had not reached them before she did It took a special type of bullet Fired by a special type of gun. The bullets themselves were filled with Holy Water And the gun had to be powerful enough to launch them But gentle enough to not pulverize the bullet Before it exited the barrel. Only a substance blessed by God himself or One of his worldly speakers could bring this beast down.

These triggered-firing-mechanisms and the men were loaded into the choppers And started their hunt for the mad woman. It didn’t take them long to find the path she was tearing into the land. Trees and building and houses were crushed and demolished. Cars caved in and rubble was astray.

As they continued of they noticed fresh tracks in the snowy

Country side near Quebec. As the snipers peered through the scopes of their rifles They noticed trees rustling far ahead in the distance. As soon as Henry was made aware of this, A powerful sense of guilt over took his body. His palms started to sweat and he started to shake. He knew the time was drawing near to finish what he had started.

As their swirly-winged-chariots-approached her She heard the loud whirl of the blades and felt the Violent whipping of the air around her. She quickly snapped around and spotted the helicopters. She let out a nasty snarl and then screamed as if she was being stabbed. The snipers took aim at her and had locked on. The first sniper had his shot clear and pulled the trigger. The beast quickly jumped out of the way of the fast moving bullet. The men were puzzled as to how such a massive beast could Dodge such fast and precise bullets. The second sniper then took his shot. Same as the first, she quickly darted out of the way. The men soon realized that they were no match for this beast While they were in the air.

The pilots went on ahead of the creature; For if they dropped right there, They would have been no match for the angry brute. About a mile ahead of her the troops dropped down, Each one lying very low to the ground. Henry was leading the pack. If anyone was going to be killed first He believed it should be him. AS they drew closer, they could hear the deep, guttural breaths of the monster Before they could even get eyes on her. A few hundred feet more and Henry could make out her silhouette against the grass. His feelings of guilt returned to him, Much more powerful this time. He was almost sick to his stomach and had to stop and catch himself for a moment. Closer and closer the men crept until they were finally close enough to make a shot And not hit the trees of shrubs in front of them. Henry had the young man next to him take aim at her. A soon as he was locked on, He gave to signal to fire. The gun let off a loud retort and the beast flinched and let out a loud roar. However, she did not go down. Instead she arose and started towards the men. Seeing this, Henry ordered the men to scatter and he stayed in her path. He knew she would stop with him. She had to.

As she ran towards him, all feelings of guilt were replaced by those of fear and regret. She stopped right before him menacingly. Feeling her hot breath on his face, he could not speak. She gazed at his and in her eyes, he could see the pain And he could see that she remembered him. All at once a shot rang out. The beast flinched in pain but again, nothing happened. She became angry and quickly snatched him up in her claws. “The heart.” He thought, “It must have to penetrate the heart!” “Aim for the heart! It has to hit the heart!” He shouted. But he soon realized, his body in her hands was shielding her heart. In order for a bullet to reach her, It had to first go through him. He knew what he had to do. “You heard me! Aim for the heart! Shoot through me! Just do it!” There was a hesitation before another shot rang out. Henry felt a sharp pain in his chest as he and his creature fell to the ground. With the last of his energy, The last of his life, He reached out and took the hand of the beast. With their last moments they gazed into each other’s eyes, Each one remembering the other, as they both faded out. Seeing this, the men then covered the bodies. The man who had been nearest to him then began to speak to his colleagues, “Do we all not have someone who we love dearly?

Claudia Tharp White-3

Someone whom we would put out life down for if we knew there was no other choice? Someone whom no matter what form or shape They took; we still found love for them Deep in our hearts? We all do! So I ask that we at least give them this favor: Bury them together. You all saw the love and compassion that this man Still felt for his bride. Though she was not the most beautiful, The love was still lingering! Do not look at these two for all the bad they have done’ But rather the good they intended to do. Look at the love that was still in their hearts. A true beast, A true monster, Could not carry this love! With this the men lifted the bodies from the Earth. Both of them were then put onto a chopper and lifter back to Oklahoma. They were both buried next to each other where they still remain; Together.
