Message from the Historian... Hello everyone! As we transition into sweater weather, it's time to start thinking about those less fortunate! We had the UNICEF boxes this month, for neonatal tetanus! Look forward to collecting food for the needy with the Second Harvest Food Bank drive in November! Chandra Couzens Westmont Key Club 2013-2014 Historian

Car Wash! October 12, 2013: Westmont Key Club held their second car wash of the year! It was a huge success, raising around $150 for Pediatric Trauma Prevention! Members soaped, rinsed, and dried cars, and even shouted and advertised to attract customers. Thank you to everyone who came and helped out at the car wash!

Rock & Roll Marathon! October 6, 2013: Members participated in the annual San Jose Rock & Roll marathon! Despite waking up at 5AM to get there and set up a booth to pass out water to runners, everyone had a great time. Thank you to everyone who came and helped out!

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! October 2013: Westmont Key Club passed out UNICEF boxes to classrooms around Westmont, and members encouraged fellow students to donate to support the Eliminate Project. Some Key Club members even took UNICEF boxes and on Halloween, went Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF.

Fall Rally North! October 19, 2013: Fall Rally North, or FRN, was held at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom! Thousands of Key Clubbers gathered to show their spirit in spirit battles. In addition, a lot of money was raised for Pediatric Trauma Prevention through the LTG auction. Members met many new friends from different divisions and even the same division. Overall, it was a great experience and everyone is highly encouraged to attend this event!

Other Events Oktoberfest—October 20, 2013: Members worked at the soda and water booth for the City of Campbell. FRN Prep—October 18, 2013: Members went to Westgate Mall to make tutus and spirit gear, to learn the cheers, and to meet other people attending FRN. Division Trick-or-treat for UNICEF—October 31, 2013: Members went trick-or-treating with Key Clubbers from other schools in the division and bonded with them while having a great time!

Upcoming Events Second Harvest Food Bank Promotion—Friday, November 22, 2013

Where/When: Safeway (Winchester Blvd / Budd Ave). 5:00pm-7:00pm We need as many people as possible! Help promote the Second Harvest Food Bank at Safeway! There will even be a television station there filming, so we might even be on TV! Please come and support! Second Harvest Food Bank Flyer Passing—Saturday, November 23, 2013

Where/When: Safeway (Winchester Blvd / Budd Ave). 9:00am-1:00pm. Help spread the word of Second Harvest Food Bank at Safeway by passing out fliers and informing customers!

Second Harvest Food Bank Drive

Where/When: Ongoing! Barrels are in some classrooms around campus. Donate cans to the Second Harvest Food Bank to help fight hunger! Morning Announcements Anchors

Where/When: Room 15. 7:15am. Ongoing! The morning announcements need anchors to read the daily bulletin! You will get 30 minutes of community service each time you go.

Reminders

November is here, and that means that the Second Harvest Food Bank is back! Look for these large barrels in certain classrooms; donating any canned, nonperishable foods will help fight hunger!

ATTENTION FRESHMEN! Do you want to play an even more active role in Key Club? Apply for freshman representative! Fill in the application (in the Facebook group or found here) and turn it in by November 22nd to Room 60! :) Thank you for reading this issue of the Red Panda Report!
