Eggstravaganza!

March 30th, 2013: Thank you to everyone who helped out at Eggstravaganza! This annual event that our club always participates in, located at the Campbell Community Center, ran very smoothly and successfully. From face painting and dressing up as bunnies to helping with the Easter egg hunt and monitoring the jump houses, everyone's hard work contributed to an egg-stravagant event!

The Kiwanis Special Games was created to address the physical and emotional needs of extremely challenged children. At this event, we will be leading a small group of children around a mini Olympics course or help out at a game station to give these children a chance to be the center of attention through positive achievement. Because this event involves missing a school day, we are looking for responsible, hardworking, and committed Key Clubbers who are capable of caring for a group of children. There is a requirement of attendance of at least two Key Club events (or 10 service hours), and there are limited number of spots. Please contact us ASAP if you are interested; all volunteers must fill out a permission form!

April DCM—Sunday, April 14, 2013 Where/When: Santa Clara High School. 12:00pm-2:00pm.

Our Lieutenant Governor, Allysa Foot, is hosting her first DCM (Division Council Meeting) of the 2013-2014 term! The DCM will be held out on the Santa Clara High School football field. Then, there will be an egg-toss contest as a fundraiser for Pediatric Trauma Prevention! Members will pair up with a partner and pay $3 per person for entry. The last pair standing will receive a prize, which will be announced later! DCMs are a great place to meet other people in the division and to learn more about what’s going on in Key Club, so everyone is strongly encouraged to attend! :)
