Festival fever has arrived. We’ve got Glastonbury, V, Bestival, Reading and many, many others to enjoy over the next few months and quite frankly we’re excited. Not just because it means days of lying in fields listening to brilliant bands, but because it also means we need to buy a festival wardrobe. Yup, we are that shallow. First things first: whatever clothes we buy, the most important item to take camping is some wet wipes, because that way we can ensure our faces glow and smells are kept at bay. It’s vital if you’re going to be dancing as no-one wants smelly pits in their face. It’s just not polite. The next thing to cater for is the great British summer. You need wellies AND flipflops if you want to protect against the mud but still have footwear that will let your feet breathe.

Also needed is a coat that will protect you from the rain. Preferably a colourful one which will make you stand out in a crowd and make it easier for your friends to find you. Little dresses are a fab idea as they don’t trail in the mud, will keep you cool and can easily be layered over jeans when the cooler evenings set in. To cover your legs turn-ups are a good call or if you want to flash your pins then go for hotpants. Layers of t-shirts and jumpers will give you lots of flexibility, and to personalise your look and we reccommend adding masses of bracelets, headbands and necklaces to jazz the look up. Our final tip is to take some cosy pyjamas. You’ll be grateful for them when you stagger back to your tent and want a good night’s sleep in dry, comfortable clothes. Rock on!

CAT Footwear steps up with Rugged Equipment……….

Just in time for summer, Iconic brand Cat Footwear has introduced a selection of key designs within their Rugged Equipment range. Made from suede and full grain leathers in an earthy-toned colour palette, the Fulcrum and Davis offer classic functionality with an industrial edge, featuring an understated urban desert boot and lace up work shoe, Cat Footwear guarantees style with serious durability.

It’s official, spring is here. A sunny day is enough to lift the heart and also to make you drag out the same T-shirts you’ve had since you first heard Metallica and when shaving was something to be boasted about. This year, why not try a wardrobe update? It could mean you hanging up your internet dating shoes and being accepted into all sorts of bars, not just the ones that women wouldn’t go into alone. There are plenty of brightly coloured tops around this year (eye searing shades are very 2011, don’t you know). Try striped polo shirts , T-shirts with truly humorous prints or shirts for those more adventurous

types. Shirts looks perfect when teamed with well-fitting jeans and a rumpled hair-do. While there are some great jeans in the shops at the moment, if you dare to be different then check out some shorts. There are styles to suit anyone from hanging out at the beach looking cool types or some to suit the more dapper look. This is the UK, however, so you will need an extra layer for the cool evenings, we say grab a hoodie or leather jacket So there you have it: new clothes, new you. And yes, you do have to bin your Def Leppard T-shirt. Trust us, you’ll get on better without it.

This year Grit proudly took part in the brmb walkathon and walked 13 miles for Birmingham’s Childrens Hospital. We’d just like to say a big thank you to Mix our designer, Steve our photgrapher and Clare our sales manager for taking part on the day and even managing to hobble slowly into work on the Monday. A massive £414,845 was raised by everyone that took part on the day and despite all the sprains, strains and the heat a good day was had by all.
