_DE-DENSIFY The plot of the project is located in El Raval, one of the densest neighborhoods of barcelona. For this reason the natural light is very important and that is why the project consists of a large central courtyard through which houses breath. We found three types of houses: flats with 3 bedrooms, duplex with 3 bedrooms and small flats with 1 bedroom. The building annexes the existing housing, giving it a new access. On the ground floor the building has a nursery school.

_THE MAT-BUILDING The project is located in an area of Barcelona where two different urban fabrics superpose: the old town and the “ensanche”. The building placement respects both of them creating paths that join already existing spaces “pasajes”. It consists of a four housing unit repeated vertically and horizontally, which results in a low building covering the whole plot. All housings are outward-facing and also look onto an inner yard, and they have flexible rooms which can be used as inner spaces or terraces.

_CONNECTION AND BREAKAGE The train track between Barcelona and Cornellá has been a line from which urban areas has been appeared, due to the communication with the city. However this track has been also a border between the neighborhoods located on one side and the other. In-depth analyses of the line we realize there are some dramatic points where the connection between one side and the other is very complicated; and in the case of the place chosen as a project we have an additional problem because the line forks in two directions, creating a non-place where there are only some remains of the industrial past.

_BUILDING AND TOPOGRAPHY In order to solve the problem of connectivity and stimulate the area it is proposed to settle a transportation interchange complex, which collects the railway traffic of the two existing lines and also the high speed line whose is underground; as well as the bus lines. It is a joint project carried out by 3 people on an individual basis, so that each one focuses on one part. In my case it was the central part of the complex which also has the program of cinema and coworking space.

_GATHERING OF LIGHT, MEETING OF ACTIVITY Since always the people from Lanzarote have had in mind two basic concepts to live in the island: it is necessary to take advantage of the water and they need to protect themselves from the strong northern winds. Of these two premises it was created the canary patio. Nowadays in the plot we find a square warehouse of 25x25 meters, which is practically buried in 3 of its faces. For this reason it is proposed to focus the life of the building towards the interior, through the reinvention of a traditional Canarian patio. A patio that collects the light from the outside as if it was water illuminating the interior rooms and generating an outer space in the interior protected from wind.

_FROM XL TO S BerdĂşn is a small village in the Pyrenees of Huesca, located in a hill in the middle of a great valley. The area surrounding the hill is quite flat, that is why it has been traditionally used as farmlands. In the project it is proposed to create a network of pedestrian and bicycle routes that allow the inhabitants and visitors to learn about the rivers, or the crops that surround the village. In the area closest to the silo, two operations are proposed: on one hand improving the road entrance to the village by a roundabout, and on the other hand modify the topography in order to pass underneath the road with a pedestrian path generating some terraces with crops, understanding those crops as part of the museum. Nowadays the Silo is an unused building that belongs to the National Silos and Granaries Network. In the refurbishment, the functionality of the building takes into account the most remarkable feature, which is his height to organize the route. Visitors access through a lift to the top and with new stairs placed in the back of the building are descending and accessing the different rooms, until reaching the ground floor, where they would continue the exposition through the crops.
