Additional Comments, Golf Course The Bunkers got a little rough. However the issues and a plan to correct them have been effectively communicated to the membership. 12/2/2013 7:44 AMView Responses fairways cut too short, rough too long 12/1/2013 2:59 PMView Responses Rough is too high and thick, 12/1/2013 2:20 PMView Responses Rough throughout the course plays very inconsistent. 11/30/2013 4:38 PMView Responses The practice facilities should have high, thick, tough green rough that is similar to that found close to the putting surface on the course. 11/27/2013 11:45 AMView Responses women's tees still have some room for improvement, though love the changes that have beem made to some ie #12 tee is hugely improved 11/22/2013 11:25 AMView Responses I don't golf. 11/22/2013 11:15 AMView Responses The so-called wild, natural areas within the course, as opposed to the boundary areas, are in poor contrast to our overall aesthetics. They should, at the very least, be mowed short & planted with wildflowers. 11/20/2013 8:52 PMView Responses Small food portions. And no-calorie sports drinks would be nice at Mulligans. People still walking along green side rough with pushcarts. 11/20/2013 1:56 AMView Responses Jason & crew do an outstanding job. HOWEVER, too many members are not repairing ball marks n the greens and don't seem to care about filling in divots on the fairways. 11/17/2013 10:11 PMView Responses Very sparse grass on the fairways and greens. Greens seem to become slower and slower each year. Ball mark scars are terrible. 11/17/2013 11:15 AMView Responses bunker conditions are varied from hole to hole. 11/16/2013 9:05 AMView Responses Be frugal. 11/15/2013 7:31 PMView Responses Weather was issue early on (rain) otherwise bunkers and rough would be scored higher. 11/15/2013 6:42 PMView Responses Fairways are cut too short. The lies are too tight. The greens seem to be too fragile - root system lacking. Rough is too long around greens - too punishing. 11/15/2013 10:07 AMView Responses Overall the course is not as groomed as it had been in the past ! 11/14/2013 1:29 PMView Responses Bunkers are inconsistent and sometimes very hard (little sand). 11/13/2013 9:05 PMView Responses The forward tee boxes weren't in as good shape as the back (men's) tee boxes. A lot of the older members played slowly and would not let others play through 11/13/2013 3:45 PMView Responses PUT A KEG OF SWITCHBACK IN MULLIGAN'S! THE BEER IN MULLIGANS IS QUITE MARGINAL AND COULD BE IMPROVED SO EASILY. 11/13/2013 9:46 AMView Responses Bunkers inconsistent. Some with plenty of sand, others not enough so wedge bottoms out on hard pan 11/13/2013 7:38 AMView Responses Would be nice in fairways were similar to VNCC, lush, thicker, if possible. 11/12/2013 8:14 PMView Responses The course was in rough shape most of the year due to excessive rains. The health of the greens and poor repair work by members made the greens unsatisfactory 11/12/2013 6:19 PMView Responses

at times the rough is US Open caliber and too difficult for the average player. It slows the game down. 11/12/2013 2:41 PMView Responses Sand is either too thick or too thin, been difficult to judge 11/12/2013 2:35 PMView Responses The course condition was amazing this year, particularly given how difficult the weather was in May and June. Kudos to Jason and his crew! 11/12/2013 12:55 AMView Responses Social member so these are all not applicable 11/12/2013 12:53 AMView Responses I do not play golf. 11/12/2013 12:40 AMView Responses Our greens are in such sad shape. Why. I'm tired of excuses..... 11/12/2013 12:38 AMView Responses Fairway cut too short. Hard to play a 3 wood 11/12/2013 12:31 AMView Responses I am a social member and there is not a n/a option. 11/11/2013 10:24 PMView Responses I found that the greens were played too slow for the majority of the year. The tee boxes need some attention in the coming years. 11/11/2013 5:00 PMView Responses The rough was a little more punishing than necessary 11/11/2013 3:35 PMView Responses There is drainage issues on holes 6 and 7 and other places like near the ladies Tee on hole 2.. This should be looked into 11/11/2013 1:06 AMView Responses Some inconsistency in amount of sand in some of the traps 11/10/2013 10:34 AMView Responses Depth of the sand in bunkers is very inconsistent. 11/10/2013 8:27 AMView Responses We are social members--we did not use the golf course. 11/10/2013 7:08 AMView Responses social member - no golf 11/9/2013 9:18 PMView Responses The tee boxes are often in very poor shape, I think this is the part of the course that needs the most work. Bunkers can be inconsistent 11/9/2013 3:48 PMView Responses watering should be lowered during rainy times I have noticed more member shoulder injuries this yr since a free swing isn't always able to be performed on wet surfaces causing player club to dig into surface.I have had to undergo therapy for this injury. 11/9/2013 2:46 PMView Responses I wasn't very good in the rough but the rough was very good! 11/9/2013 2:23 PMView Responses tough year with the rain. an exceptional job done by all concerned. 11/9/2013 10:54 AMView Responses People should be disciplined for leaving broken tees and not fixing ball marks. Warning followed by one week suspension could solve problem. Reward people that report bad behavior , then have club staff witness, then warning begins. We are the most played private club in the state. We should cap membership at 475 and work budget around that number. 11/9/2013 8:35 AMView Responses The rough is too rough, especially around the greens. 11/9/2013 8:18 AMView Responses keep working on making the bunkers consistent regarding the sand. Make them all coarse or all fine. seems there is too much irregularity between the green side traps. 11/9/2013 8:07 AMView Responses

need receptacles for broken tees consider replaceing striped fairway poles with divot sand containers on either side of the fairway so walkers acan repair their divots 11/9/2013 6:52 AMView Responses The course has never been in daily near tournament condition in 10 years. 11/8/2013 9:20 PMView Responses Fairways are cut too tight for the average golfer. It would be more enjoyable ( and just as much of a challenge) if they were cut a more reasonable level. 11/8/2013 9:16 PMView Responses Jason & crew do an exemplary job taking care of our course. 11/8/2013 7:46 PMView Responses Mulligans needs an overhaul in regards to staff scheduling. There are constant days when the tee sheet is empty due to various factors yet Mulligans is open. The club needs to seriously sit down and review its policy and how much money it actually generates vs salaries paid out, I would be willing to assume it loses money more often then not! Possibly should look into leaving it unstaffed where members can serve themself food and non-alcoholic beverages with a beverage cart on the course during peak times or members can get booze at the turn. 11/8/2013 6:55 PMView Responses The chipping green that Fred rebuilt is nothing like the golf course. The old one was better. Pot bunker on 1 needs to be grassed and lip dropped. Many of the bunker faces should be dropped. Would make maintenance and play easier. 11/8/2013 6:46 PMView Responses Bunkers were not consistent. Rough is too penalizing fopr most players 11/8/2013 6:35 PMView Responses Rough is very difficult for the average player, like all CCs in the US we all pay way too much so the very good players are challenged. Why?? 11/8/2013 6:34 PMView Responses many courses i played in N VT had better conditions on the greens 11/8/2013 5:42 PMView Responses Pace of play could always be improved. Starters know who the 4++ round members are and I think they should do a better job making them let groups through. need grass driving range. Tees were a little rough at times this year but crew kept working on them. Need keggerator with switchback/zero gravity in Mulligans. maybe not legal. 11/8/2013 5:39 PMView Responses There needs to be education to all members on fixing ball marks and divots. Starter should emphasize to all players every day before they go to 1st tee 11/8/2013 5:38 PMView Responses

Additional Comments, Golf Tournaments & Events The MacAndrews is a bit pricey but it is still a good value for the money. Also, the price does not seem to impact the number of people applying for inclusion. 12/2/2013 7:46 AMView Responses Too many weekend tournaments and pricing is out of range....should not be charging members who have the yearly cart rental a fee at tournament time...... 12/1/2013 2:21 PMView Responses twilight is the one event I've always done and am very satisfied with it 12/1/2013 10:00 AMView Responses No complaints. There is plenty of activities on the golf calendar. 11/30/2013 4:40 PMView Responses it seems like any tournament is several $100. Perhaps one or more could be organized that would simply be the golf without all of the extra frills/expense 11/27/2013 11:47 AMView Responses Too many tournaments which add additional cost. It will be difficult for me to have the added tournament expense along with the increased dues next year. 11/26/2013 7:33 PMView Responses I do not play in tournements. 11/26/2013 1:23 PMView Responses Too many events that close the course 11/26/2013 1:15 PMView Responses Would like to see the Floyd changed to a different time. Too close to Kirkwood and the current format of the Floyd NEEDS to be changed. 11/26/2013 12:48 AMView Responses Women tournaments should be on weekends. the tournament weekend schedule should be cut by 50%. Access to member play on weekends is very poor. Too many tournaments on too many weekends. 11/26/2013 12:42 AMView Responses I did not play in any tournaments. 11/23/2013 10:08 AMView Responses Not played in any tournaments 11/21/2013 9:29 AMView Responses Perhaps we should reconsider the whys & wherefores of several of our tournaments. Does it make sense to, in effect, close the course for 4 days for the Floyd James event when approx. only 25% of the entrants are members? I've heard the revenue generating argument but has there been a comparison analysis between this & a lost Friday Night Couples & a lost Saturday wedding? There were also several Sunday mornings when the course was unavailable due to some other event. Probably not a good thing given our short season. 11/20/2013 9:14 PMView Responses too many events 11/20/2013 8:10 AMView Responses The ratio of foods costs vs other tournament costs is still too high. 11/20/2013 1:58 AMView Responses Add another one day member guest in the early fall 11/19/2013 10:34 PMView Responses Too many events that conflict with regular course play on the weekends - Saturday and Sundays 11/18/2013 10:12 AMView Responses Too many tournaments! 11/17/2013 10:11 PMView Responses I understand that tourneys are important and popular and have history, but the number,(including leagues) reduces regular tee times. 11/16/2013 9:07 AMView Responses To many tournaments 11/14/2013 1:32 PMView Responses If demand is so high for the McAndrews, why not improve the Floyd James to the same status to increase participation by the members instead of the Rocky Ridge open?

11/14/2013 11:13 AMView Responses I haven't participated in any of the tournaments or other golf events. 11/14/2013 6:21 AMView Responses Several events are too expensive. This includes the FJs, Mac, one day MG and Fred Martel. 11/13/2013 7:51 PMView Responses Too many golf tournaments for players who don't respect the course!! 11/12/2013 8:42 PMView Responses Enjoyed Fall Member guest with 1pm shotgun in previous years. 11/12/2013 8:15 PMView Responses Too many events blocking access to the course for non-competitors. Except for major tournaments, other events should be done as a shotgun following by a non competitor shotgun after the competition. 11/12/2013 6:21 PMView Responses N/A 11/12/2013 4:37 PMView Responses Floyd James takes away a weekend +, and is not widely a member played event. 11/12/2013 2:50 PMView Responses I do not play in the tournaments. 11/12/2013 2:11 PMView Responses The Floyd James seems to be more for guests and less for Members. To tie up the course for a weekend in June is tough. Perhaps a two day- Fall Classic format event in June would be better 11/12/2013 12:57 AMView Responses social member only, so N/A 11/12/2013 12:54 AMView Responses Too many outside events 11/12/2013 12:39 AMView Responses I am looking for to next summer and all that the new guy has in store for us at the pool! I already loved his 'end of season' party. 11/11/2013 10:26 PMView Responses always seems like too many weekends bogged down with tourneys 11/11/2013 1:47 PMView Responses The time allotted to the Floyd James is excessive 11/11/2013 8:28 AMView Responses I don't play in tournaments. I find them expensive and over-emphasized. 11/11/2013 7:03 AMView Responses It's time to reinvent the Floyd James. Less than 40 members play in this (about 1/3 of the total field). 11/10/2013 4:13 PMView Responses It's time to change Floyd James to a 2nd Member Guest tournament same format as McAndrew's. The flights could be reduced for both tournaments satisfying all members entry and increasing open play for non-tournament players during those weekends. 11/10/2013 8:31 AMView Responses The Floyd James either needs to be eliminated or reorganized to be a member only event. 11/9/2013 9:24 PMView Responses Why do we have shotgun starts with 10 teams? 11/9/2013 6:04 PMView Responses Not involved 11/9/2013 3:26 PMView Responses

course fees and luncheons too high for ladies tournaments-Club should contribute financial support 11/9/2013 2:49 PMView Responses Our member tournaments like opening scrambles should be about gathering members to have fun and should not cost over $25.00. We pay already in our dues to play our course, price of these events should be to cover prizes and any food only. 11/9/2013 12:12 AMView Responses Need to get Floyd James re formatted as it is running out of steam. 11/9/2013 9:52 AMView Responses Is there a limit on outside events 11/9/2013 8:59 AMView Responses Waxwell cup event is great team building event. It strengths twilight, makes membership stronger because its the only event you are not competing against your fellow member. Stronger membership = stronger club. 11/9/2013 8:39 AMView Responses Too many tournaments/outside events blocking course availability 11/9/2013 6:58 AMView Responses as a newer member, I get announcements about various named annual tournaments, I usually have no clue what the format is and whether it would be appropriate for my skill level 11/9/2013 6:54 AMView Responses 1. The price/value equation is out of balance. BCC is expensive, it is also an exceptional golf course. However, there are too many non-member functions/activities that interrupt the member experience. 2. The Floyd James should NOT be open to guest/guest teams, unless the price is substantially higher than a member team. 3. It is time for JP to go. He is a very nice guy, but he is a terrible pro with zero personality. The improvement we saw when Jason replaced Fred is what we should be looking for in the Pro. 4. The entire clubhouse management needs to be replaced. Members have stopped using the Clubhouse because of 3 factors a) Lisa is rude, ineffective, and insincere, b) the reconfiguration of the facility, and c) the food is absolutely terrible. 11/9/2013 6:01 AMView Responses Too many events clogging up course 11/8/2013 10:33 PMView Responses Our Pro shop does a great job in running these events. Too many women's events, which seem to take place almost weekly. 11/8/2013 9:20 PMView Responses floyd james needs an update 11/8/2013 8:15 PMView Responses Tournaments should not be so expensive. Members are playing for the pride and chance to have their names on a placque. In reality with all the so called revenue the club house generates why arent these tournaments free? Could always charge a little more for outside events such as charity outtings or outside teams playings in the Floyd James. Why does it cost what it does for member member teams to play in the James? Would love to see a member member season long match play tournament and strickter enforcement of deadlines when it comes the mens match play brackets. 11/8/2013 7:01 PMView Responses some of the tournaments are not set up for seniors using forward tees 11/8/2013 6:49 PMView Responses Floyd James as it now exist is dated. It is time for a change. 11/8/2013 6:48 PMView Responses Feeling too expensive 11/8/2013 6:36 PMView Responses In my view we have very predictable, un creative events overall. Our professional golf staff, may be the dullest in America. 11/8/2013 6:36 PMView Responses MacAndrews should have a split format so that competitive golfers in championship flight can compete to a winner 11/8/2013 5:56 PMView Responses having 4 days for the course to be used for outsiders to play the floyd JAmes is an insult to membership. We pay as a member about 25$ per day to be members and access to the course is given to people for next to nothing. i dont agree with taking this time for non members. We are not making what we should on this outside event. We make more with one FAHC outing than this that takes up weekend days, 11/8/2013 5:45 PMView Responses Did not get in Mac after supporting it for 20+ years. Sour grapes but it has been a highlight of my summer for those many years and good traditions are hard to come by. 11/8/2013 5:42 PMView Responses

Additional Comments, Golf Shop I took a lesson from Dave and it was extremely helpful in improving my game. 12/2/2013 7:47 AMView Responses Need range to compliment the pro staff teaching experience. It's a difficult place to develop specific skills based on the current driving ranges limitations. 11/30/2013 4:42 PMView Responses I only stored my clubs twice this year in order to get them cleaned and both times they weren't cleaned. That surprised me. 11/23/2013 10:09 AMView Responses Everything about this part of our operation is first-rate & all should be commended for the fine jobs that they do. 11/20/2013 9:16 PMView Responses The people are all excellent. Very member focused 11/20/2013 5:15 AMView Responses Prices too high on clothes / golf shirts etc 11/19/2013 10:36 PMView Responses Kenny is fantastic. 11/17/2013 11:16 AMView Responses I think the selection of women's clothing could be improved slightly. 11/16/2013 11:17 AMView Responses Need a better variety of clothing for women - More après golf attire, more mid-calf pants and long pants, more cold weather golf attire. 11/15/2013 10:14 AMView Responses Kenny is not an asset to the club he is arrogant and plays favorites . 11/14/2013 1:35 PMView Responses Did not take any lessons so cannot comment. 11/14/2013 7:19 AMView Responses We have too many pro shop professional staff. Give more responsibility and pay to Matt Havers as JP's right hand man and get rid of the rest. Otherwise we will just keep having turnover. It's hard to develop a teaching relationship with the assistant pro when they leave due to lack of pay and growth opportunity. Dave is not a viable teaching opportunity for a better player. JP does not give lessons. 11/13/2013 7:57 PMView Responses I wish there was a larger selection for women's apparel specifically long sleeve golf shirts and wind shirts or rain jackets 11/13/2013 3:47 PMView Responses Need WAY MORE SMALL woman's sizes. All the small women I know want to buy more but there are never many small sizes. Bring in smaller sized clothes for the women and then TELL THEM so they know. 11/13/2013 11:34 AMView Responses Not attentive, never any sand in containers, not helpful when they see a member getting clubs out of car at drop off, don't know members names or special needs. Need training in etiquette and continuous monitoring. 11/13/2013 10:40 AMView Responses Jim and Bill as well as the young men who at times serve as starters are always welcoming and friendly. 11/12/2013 4:42 PMView Responses Dave is an excellent teacher with Matt a close second. The bagroom boys, with the exception of several, seem to be disinterested in their job or not understanding what their job entails. 11/12/2013 2:44 PMView Responses Lessons, not applicable as I haven't taken any this year 11/12/2013 12:48 AMView Responses Back room boys are much better this year. I never see our Pro.... Does he ever come out to visit or play with members? 11/12/2013 12:40 AMView Responses I think our head pro is burnt out after 25yrs and we don't know how to move forward. To have a head pro who rarely plays golf, does not give lessons and is in his office more than out front is a disservice to the club. We can do better. 11/11/2013 10:21 AMView Responses bag boys were amazing this year. So nice and helpful. JP and his team were great. Always there to help and a great attitude. I did not take any lessons but should have. Kenny and the other starter are very nice, helpful and always looking out to make our experience the best. 11/11/2013 1:08 AMView Responses Pro Shop bare come holiday time so gifts need to be purchased in September or elsewhere, unfortunately. 11/10/2013 9:08 PMView Responses Bag Room Boys could be more visible out at the bag drop off, ready to help people earlier as they approach bag room... 11/10/2013 10:36 AMView Responses

Excellent staff, thank you very much.Everyone is very professional and helpful. The starters always do a great job of getting everyone in, even if they don't have ate time 11/10/2013 9:09 AMView Responses We need to make a change in our golf professional staff. We need a new head pro and assistant. 11/9/2013 9:25 PMView Responses Not super pleased with the brands carried for golf shirts, all very big and loose fitting, there are many high end brands out there that would good to carry. Doesnt seem to be anyone watching over or managing the bag boys, often pull the pins early. Overstaffed a lot too, club could save a lot of money in this area, many times for hours there are a few of them just standing around waiting to close up shop. 11/9/2013 3:53 PMView Responses great group of people 11/9/2013 10:56 AMView Responses Head pro should play with membership more than 3 times a year. JP is a great guy, does a great job organizing events but is protected by the old guard when it comes to playing with the membership. This needs to change. We basically have a head golf pro that doesn't play golf. 11/9/2013 8:44 AMView Responses As a new member I was extremely impressed! We have belonged to other clubs but none where the pro shop staff (including the bag boys)was so welcoming and accommodating. It's a great atmosphere! 11/9/2013 8:42 AMView Responses Most of the starters are very cordial. The same cannot be said for Ken 11/9/2013 8:21 AMView Responses sizing (small -medium mens) is usually an issue 11/9/2013 6:55 AMView Responses As stated earlier - time for a new pro and new management. I would argue there is too much staff related to the proshop, especially during non-peak times. 11/9/2013 6:03 AMView Responses A solid area for our Club. Best starter(s) on the planet. Retail prices have come down and are very competitive for quality. Noticeable good effort from the BR boys this year. Very capable assistant Pros and we are lucky to have JP. 11/8/2013 9:24 PMView Responses A head pro who does not play golf give lessons or is out front in the pro shop!! I think its time to move on we can do a lot better 11/8/2013 8:18 PMView Responses Why do we continue to hire non-PGA Program students staff to work the counter? I understand the golf shop needs to make a profit but that is what guests and nonmember sales are for. VNCC offers a 20-30% discount to members and also have a non-member price on their tags which really helps drive sales as members truly understand the deal they are getting. The club should never loose a sale on a new product to Dicks, Kens, or the internet because its 5-15% less. A little profit beats no profit! Pro staff also needs to play more with members! 11/8/2013 7:09 PMView Responses Think we need a pro that can mix with the membership-not leave in the back office. Would like to see someone who understands and can teach with video. Would like to see a pro that promotes the game with the membership. Young and old. 11/8/2013 6:50 PMView Responses Consider like other clubs 10% or 15% over cost 11/8/2013 6:37 PMView Responses Ken the started is huge in my satisfaction with the clut he keeps things moving and knows that is going on. JP never see him and Dave a bit sarcastic . the Jr program looks vibrant 11/8/2013 5:48 PMView Responses Did not take any lessons this year. Probably should have!! 11/8/2013 5:43 PMView Responses

Additional Comments, Swimming Pool I do not make use of the pool facilities. 12/2/2013 7:48 AMView Responses I do not use the pool 12/1/2013 3:32 PMView Responses Don't' use the pool.......parking for golf members is almost nil when there are swimming events......swimming event participants should park in the overload parking. 12/1/2013 2:23 PMView Responses never had occasion to use it 12/1/2013 10:01 AMView Responses Changing rooms need to be replaced and pool should be heated 11/30/2013 5:23 PMView Responses We don't really use the pool as a family, but feel it's an important aspect for member recruitment. 11/30/2013 4:44 PMView Responses Did not use the pool 11/26/2013 7:34 PMView Responses I do not use the pool 11/26/2013 1:24 PMView Responses Change rooms are in need of demo and rebuild 11/26/2013 12:49 AMView Responses Do not ever use the pool facility 11/26/2013 12:43 AMView Responses I did not use the pool once this year. 11/23/2013 10:10 AMView Responses I don't really ahve experience w swim team/programs nor childrens pool or lifegaurds 11/22/2013 11:27 AMView Responses Don't use it. 11/22/2013 11:15 AMView Responses Hardly ever use the pool facilities 11/21/2013 9:31 AMView Responses Even though I don't use it, it is clear that our pool is a huge asset in many ways. If anything, more $ should be spent on annual upgrades. 11/20/2013 9:19 PMView Responses Don't participate 11/20/2013 8:33 PMView Responses havent used pool once 11/20/2013 8:11 AMView Responses I don't really use the pool - too noisy most of the time 11/18/2013 10:13 AMView Responses Pool chairs are never clean and the staff doesn't seem to believe it is their responsibility. Don't use 11/15/2013 10:05 AMView Responses I rarely use the pool.My only complaint is the diving board noise on the 10th tee. 11/14/2013 11:15 AMView Responses Did not use so cannot accurately rate accurately 11/14/2013 7:20 AMView Responses I don't use the pool. 11/14/2013 6:22 AMView Responses Pool need attention if we are going to use it as an attraction for joining BCC. Needs to be heated; better pool house and changing. 11/13/2013 9:08 PMView Responses Have never used the pool 11/13/2013 7:39 AMView Responses I did not USA the pool 11/12/2013 9:35 PMView Responses Quality at poolside cafe not very good. Beverages from cooler are cool at best, ice down beer & soda at pool & Mulligans. 11/12/2013 8:17 PMView Responses I have made several simple requests of the poolside cafe. I have asked for flavored seltzer, was told it was coming, and have yet to see it. Also - the food is so inconsistent that the $50 minimum seems somewhat steep and unfair. Please bring back the old chicken fingers - as a member I should have a voice in what my children prefer to eat, while we are there. 11/12/2013 7:52 PMView Responses Diving board should be removed unless another way is found to dampen the sound 11/12/2013 6:23 PMView Responses I don't use the pool 11/12/2013 2:51 PMView Responses not a swimmer 11/12/2013 2:45 PMView Responses The changing room is pathetic and the bathrooms are poor. The cafe could be much, much better and attract people on its own if it stepped up. 11/12/2013 2:13 PMView Responses DO NOT USE IT. 11/12/2013 1:18 PMView Responses Don't use it so have no opinions 11/12/2013 1:13 PMView Responses Never have used the pool, but consider it important for the membership. 11/12/2013 12:54 AMView Responses Not applicable. I don't use the pool 11/12/2013 12:48 AMView Responses Did not use..... You ought to allow for "not applicable" in all your responses as that is NOT the same as "neutral" 11/12/2013 12:42 AMView Responses Did not use or visit 11/12/2013 12:33 AMView Responses

not used 11/12/2013 11:15 AMView Responses The food is over-priced and there is not enough variety. I think your no food from the outside policy is absurd, especially with the prices you charge for so-so food. Again, I look forward to see the new pool director brings to the pool. I wrote many suggestions last year that went on deaf ear. This guy know what he is doing to help bring community to BCC. 11/11/2013 10:33 PMView Responses didn't use 11/11/2013 7:45 PMView Responses We need to invest in upgrading these facilities in order to compete for new younger members with families. 11/11/2013 5:02 PMView Responses My family rarely uses the pool facilities. 11/11/2013 1:59 PMView Responses I have never used the pool. 11/11/2013 9:21 AMView Responses The pool area needs to be upgraded. maybe put down pavers or nicer tile around the pool . Maybe build an outdoor bar under an awning. 11/11/2013 1:09 AMView Responses Dont use. Would rather have a state of the art workout facility 11/10/2013 11:10 PMView Responses Not used by our family. 11/10/2013 9:10 PMView Responses don't use 11/10/2013 4:39 PMView Responses dont use 11/10/2013 3:51 PMView Responses orient cafe more toward serving golfers at turn... 11/10/2013 9:52 AMView Responses The new pool manager was a great addition at the end of the season! He had a lot of great ideas and new energy. We were very happy to have him on board. 11/10/2013 7:09 AMView Responses did not use pool 11/9/2013 9:19 PMView Responses Pool side cafe that serves golfers on there way to 10 could use a little attention/improvement. 11/9/2013 2:27 PMView Responses never used pool. cafe handy for food at turn but I generally play early and the cafe is not open. 11/9/2013 10:58 AMView Responses The pool should be heated ,,,,,,,, 11/9/2013 9:02 AMView Responses Don't use pool at all. Important asset of the club. Important for long term family members. 11/9/2013 8:54 AMView Responses I would like to see less grass and more decking. changing rooms need updating. 11/9/2013 8:10 AMView Responses Do not use. 11/9/2013 7:40 AMView Responses I never use the pool. 11/9/2013 7:30 AMView Responses never, ever used it! 11/9/2013 6:55 AMView Responses Don't use 11/9/2013 6:38 AMView Responses

The pool has improved a bit in recent years. However, more work needs to be done to improve the condition of the changing room/bathroom. The grass area could be enlarged such that the area down the bank on the south east side was utilized - on busy days there really isn't enough room, and this could be a relatively easy fix. 3. The pool area should never be used for outside functions, nor should the diving board be taken out of service because of a non-member wedding/function being held out in the old first fairway. The pool is effectively "in use" for about 6 to 8 weeks per year, and many of the members that use it are very high margin members (social and/or full members who don't use the rest of the Club much). 11/9/2013 6:08 AMView Responses Never used. Please delete amswers 11/8/2013 10:34 PMView Responses Don't use it, but recognize it is a huge asset for our Club and many families. Good for new member recruiting. 11/8/2013 9:26 PMView Responses I never used the facility 11/8/2013 9:22 PMView Responses Do not visit the pool. 11/8/2013 7:09 PMView Responses Not a big user-but would like to see it clean-always 11/8/2013 6:52 PMView Responses Have never used the pool. 11/8/2013 6:42 PMView Responses never use it. it should be the same quality as the rest of our facilities including the course. if we offer it . it should consistent 11/8/2013 5:49 PMView Responses Neutral= no opinion no exposure. 11/8/2013 5:44 PMView Responses

Additional Comments, Clubhouse Waitstaff service was inconsistent as was the food, but overall it was only mediocre 12/1/2013 4:41 PMView Responses Waitstaff needs to be more attentive to patrons. 12/1/2013 2:24 PMView Responses I thought the food was better this year than it has been in quite some time 12/1/2013 10:02 AMView Responses Service for both dining and banquets was very poor. Lisa does NOT follow up well with event questions and staff and restaurant food quality was worst I can remember. 11/30/2013 5:24 PMView Responses The kitchen hours of should be expanded to offer some food choices past 8:30 at night. Especially since we are required as members to pay an annual food minimum. Belonging to a private club you should always have something available. Something that is simple to prepare and cost effective. 11/30/2013 4:53 PMView Responses lack of training for new waitstaff; would like food similar to vermont national couples night with themes italian; everyone eats together versus single reservagtions tables of teams 11/30/2013 4:47 PMView Responses Waitstaff could use more training of menu and specials 11/26/2013 1:25 PMView Responses Service this year really seemed down and the food quality was poor. This starts at the top. 11/26/2013 12:50 AMView Responses Bar is too noisy for pleasant dining. 11/26/2013 12:48 AMView Responses Less happy with Cleanliness of Bathrooms and Locker Rooms after outside events 11/22/2013 6:14 PMView Responses could be better in tune to needs such as no soap or soap dispensers at each sink often times; small trash receptacles in toilet stalls often smelly :( 11/22/2013 11:29 AMView Responses Dining room is too noisy. 11/22/2013 11:16 AMView Responses sandwiches and salads are all AWESOME, all entrees, are poor quality/quantity/presentation in relation to price. 11/20/2013 8:07 AMView Responses We could use some smaller plates that are lower in calories, an example would be salad with 4 oz of fish or meat. Generally there aren't too many of these options for lunch. 11/20/2013 2:05 AMView Responses Service too slow especially on Saturday noon hour slow with the meals and usually not very busy. Daily service for lunch much better and faster. 11/19/2013 10:40 PMView Responses This past season the food quality was very unreliable, food choices were limited. I also feel the bartender pours for wine for a private club are inadequate - many small pours and inconsistency with the pouring of wine. I stopped ordering wine for that reason 11/18/2013 10:15 AMView Responses The menu has no chicken, or pork dish, or just a simple strip steak. A change of fish would be nice. 11/17/2013 11:19 AMView Responses Wait staff seemed improved this year. 11/16/2013 11:19 AMView Responses menu selection a tad boring but the soup/salad option is great! also free continental on weekends is fantastic! 11/16/2013 9:09 AMView Responses

When going to a table outside I am not sure if the waitstaff knows we are there. Service time sometimes seems longer than necessary. How is monitoring of those tables done? Waitstaff is always very friendly. 11/14/2013 6:27 AMView Responses Waitstaff is inconsistent and always changing. Food is only ok. Need better quick bar food selection. Service is often very slow. Feels like we pay a generous price for less than optimal food. Special event foods are decidedly better foods and better presented. 11/13/2013 9:11 PMView Responses too much turn over with waitstaff. Plus service is too slow. I only eat at the bar. 11/13/2013 7:58 PMView Responses the service is very slow, even when the dining room is empty. I wish there were more vegetarian options I was served a raw piece of chicken once - totally unacceptable 11/13/2013 3:50 PMView Responses Jeff is an EXCELLENT bartender. Menu is getting better and better (it used to be far too simple and old school). THANK you for getting rid of those silly chairs and replacing them with quality 'functional' chairs. 11/13/2013 11:36 AMView Responses Bar room is still very noisy for me. I can't hear people at my table most of the time when there is a crowd. 11/13/2013 11:10 AMView Responses Grill room has a cold hard look and is very noisy. The bar needs to be insulated and quieted from loud drinkers. 11/13/2013 10:53 AMView Responses Noticable improvement of cleanliness in bathrooms. 11/12/2013 8:19 PMView Responses The food is 'hit or miss'. When I cook at home, I don't get an 'off night' yet at the club when something isn't great I am told by me server that the kitchen is having an 'off night'. Should a restaurant, a private club be allowed to have an off night? 11/12/2013 7:54 PMView Responses The time from ordering to receiving order is far too long. Often some of the items are already cold when served. Prices would be ok if food was exceptional. It isn't. 11/12/2013 6:25 PMView Responses The food has improved since last yea - quality of beef and preparation. 11/12/2013 4:56 PMView Responses Wait staff tries very hard but often seem unfamiliar with menu and kitche 11/12/2013 4:44 PMView Responses Wish the food was better else priced appropriately. 11/12/2013 2:53 PMView Responses I have had too many experiences this year of sending food back and/or waiting too long for it to come out. there definately seems to be a problem in the kitchen. Once the minimum was covered I stopped being a regular. Sad but true!!!! 11/12/2013 2:48 PMView Responses Table attendance by waiters is sometimes choppy. We should not have to get up to ask for service. 11/12/2013 1:51 PMView Responses Grill room acoustics are very poor. This shouldn't be that hard to remedy. 11/12/2013 1:17 PMView Responses The food is adequate11/12/2013 1:09 PMView Responses Members should be required to keep their shoes and clothing in lockers and not spread all over the place.Any other clubs I have been to don't allow this. 11/12/2013 1:02 PMView Responses It's not the appearance of the dining facilities that I am dissatisfied with, it is the noise leve. 11/12/2013 12:50 AMView Responses Locker rooms are a mess.... We need to establish and enforce policies re leaving shoes, clothes, etc all over the place....it's embarrassing to bring a guest. Menu needs to be changed more frequently; wait staff were ok, but sometimes lacking - so many changing faces all the time! Overall food quality ok, but nightly specials are hit or miss.... 11/12/2013 12:46 AMView Responses Waitstaff needs more training 11/12/2013 12:34 AMView Responses

I would love to come to the clubhouse more often, if the food improved. I love bringing the kids to movie night. Sitting on the porch eating and drinking is the perfect place to be in the summer! 11/11/2013 10:41 PMView Responses The service was terrible again this year. This must be a priority for the Board to correct in 2014. 11/11/2013 5:03 PMView Responses For a member owned private club. the price of a glass of wine is too high. 11/11/2013 3:39 PMView Responses we have dinners up there about 10 times a summer - level of service has been very inconsistent 11/11/2013 1:50 PMView Responses I wish in the dining room it was wood floors. The dining room looks old folgy almost like an old age home. The chairs are very understated too but I understand they need to be light so they can be moved and stacked 11/11/2013 1:11 AMView Responses Bar pricing too high. 11/10/2013 9:11 PMView Responses Lisa is a true asset to our club. 11/10/2013 1:12 PMView Responses Menu could include some creative items to go along with the staple items. Focus should be on healthy ingredients, quality food, price/value. 11/10/2013 10:38 AMView Responses I had lunch often and the selection of items didn't change all summer. The menu became very boring. 11/10/2013 10:34 AMView Responses Great new additions to the menu this year. Food was very good. Glad vegetarian options were added to the menu. Good kids choices as well. 11/10/2013 7:10 AMView Responses We need significant changes in the Clubhouse. We need to focus attention on members and not outside functions. If we raised dues $20 per month, we would raise the same net income that the function business makes. 11/9/2013 9:28 PMView Responses The waitstaff can almost be embarrassing, I brought a group there and the waiter was so bad. No knowledge of menu, poor service, and generally just shouldn't have been a waiter. I find it always takes too long, so unless I can get a seat at the bar I wont stay for food. 11/9/2013 3:57 PMView Responses There are areas in the men's locker room where clothing, towels etc. are just thrown on the floor and left. How do you get a few adults to pick up after themselves???????? 11/9/2013 2:31 PMView Responses I think the food & waitstaff could be more consistent. Some meals & staff are great, others are not so good. Homemade bread or at least varying the bread offerings would be nice. 11/9/2013 12:32 AMView Responses Service was at best spotty. Food was bland, presentation sloppy, menu boring and prices for all this high. The ball room looks like a Chinese resturant, the carpets are horrible. The new chairs are so rocky they feel as if they will break. The grill room is too loud the noise is unbearable when even small numbers are seated. 11/9/2013 12:08 AMView Responses a couple of times I waited 5 minutes then left because the bartender was absent from post otherwise a good group behind the bar. 11/9/2013 11:00 AMView Responses Beer/drink prices are much higher than should be offered at a private club 11/9/2013 9:26 AMView Responses Jeff is a great bartender. Lisa has made a big difference. Ray needs to be closer to understanding members concerns Brady is perfect for the job. 11/9/2013 8:50 AMView Responses

Would like to suggest that the waitstaff be issued polo shirts or something that does not require ironing. Was served on a couple of occasions by someone who looked like they had slept in their shirt! 11/9/2013 8:45 AMView Responses The quality is lacking considering the price of the product. I basically get a sandwich. Ordering a ful meal has not been a satisfactorily epicurian experience. 11/9/2013 8:12 AMView Responses the new chairs are very very bad. 11/9/2013 8:01 AMView Responses We could do better. 'Nuf said. 11/9/2013 7:31 AMView Responses The consistency of the food quality has been a problem throughout the year 11/9/2013 7:00 AMView Responses on weekends, rarely full complement of self care products _ I like to shave & shower after golf but razors & toothbrushes a re hit & miss re availability 11/9/2013 6:57 AMView Responses The food at BCC is consistently poor. It lacks creativity, it lacks quality ingredients, it lacks proper presentation, it is often served either over done or cold. The waitstaff tries to do a good job, but I believe their training may be inferior and clearly the leadership from Lisa is poor. Terminate Lisa, recruit a chef who can lead and manage, and trim the outside functions. If this causes prices to increase, fine. It's the members Clubhouse and restaurant - provide a service that the members WANT to utilize and they will spend more than their minimums. 11/9/2013 6:14 AMView Responses Could make some accommodations for faster service at rush on league night. Soda bar? 11/8/2013 10:36 PMView Responses Waitstaff, good people but way too much turnover. Bartender Jeff is an A+ for the Club, but again too many other changing faces. Stability and recognition is important. You would do twice as much member business if you lowered f and b prices by 20%. We are over priced. Look at your member sales! 11/8/2013 9:32 PMView Responses Waitstaff used to take an interest in the members and be social and now all they are concerned about is when their shift ends cause its easy money! The menu is a joke and incredibly over priced! 11.50 for a cheesburger are you serious let alone limited. The quality of food was incredibly inconsistent. We should get a popcorn machine! 11/8/2013 7:11 PMView Responses charging $9.83. total for a manhattan strikes me as a little high. Also wine glasses half full. Why not use a smaller glass? 11/8/2013 6:54 PMView Responses Get rid of the heavy old furniture in the hall and fine someone who knows how to buy good clubhouse chairs and tables that is not a member. 11/8/2013 6:54 PMView Responses In my experience, the waitstaff is untrained, and does not pay attention the the needs of the patrons. 11/8/2013 6:40 PMView Responses The service staff seemed obviously poorly trained. The menu, quality of food and poor service have me stopping elsewhere prior to reaching the club often. 11/8/2013 6:01 PMView Responses menu needs to be more diverse, and prices should be lower reflecting that we are a private club. Raise the mins if you need to and provide value to the members. 11/8/2013 6:00 PMView Responses The wait staff was very friendly but honestly I am not sure they ever got an order completely right and I use the facilities a lot. I know turnover is tough but it sure seems that training is lacking. Good kids but deer in the headlights comes to mind. Many times when plenty of staff was present NOBODY was on the patio to serve. I can't count the number of times got my beer but had to go myself in and get a glass. Unacceptable but not life threatening as I could have always drunk out of the pitcher!! Bottom line is I think training and oversight is lacking. 11/8/2013 5:56 PMView Responses Jeff is the most professional person in the place. our facility is clean and fresh but no more than should be expected 11/8/2013 5:51 PMView Responses

Additional Comments, Communications It would be nice if billing statements could be accessed on-line (and more economical for the club) rather than receiving paper billing statements. 12/2/2013 7:51 AMView Responses The billing is so difficultbto figure out. By the time the bill gets to us who can remember events and charges. Seems like a very out dated system, could be much better and more efficient 12/1/2013 4:04 PMView Responses Seems like a waste of money to mail the tee to green--I like it but it would save a lot by emailing 12/1/2013 3:35 PMView Responses The board needs to step up, circulate a set of clubhouse policies including dress, cellphones, behavior, etc. and then authorize to remind/enforce. 12/1/2013 2:57 PMView Responses The billing cycle differed from past years (or maybe it was just me thinkg it did) 12/1/2013 10:05 AMView Responses don't spend the money to print and mail calendars and event announcements 12/1/2013 9:27 AMView Responses email delivery of bills, checking/credit card debit as soon as possible 12/1/2013 9:05 AMView Responses very surprised in such a large increase in yearly dues with no explaination 11/30/2013 8:19 AMView Responses The web site needs attention. Hours of operation are hard to find and the Grill room hours, when found, are wrong! (Mon-Sun 11:30-8:30 ?!) 11/27/2013 11:52 AMView Responses Skip the paper 11/26/2013 1:18 PMView Responses clear and concise committee reports Summarize key clubhouse policies in Tee to Green 11/23/2013 9:15 PMView Responses Tee To Green newsletter could be available on Website, eliminate both e-mails & Printed versions 11/22/2013 6:16 PMView Responses I hope this survey can be a poll of the members as to who would like to be contacted by e-mail only. We should be able to save significant $ by eliminating paper, envelopes & postage. It is, after all, the 21st century. To be polite, the committee reporting is a bit tardy, especially the monthly financial statements. For example, when I looked for these then first week of Nov., the most recent one available was July. This undermines all transparency, which has been, by the way, a long-running, sad joke for the last three years. By the time the general membership learns of issues, both big and small, the time for input & debate is long since past. Too few people making too many decisions. Not a good thing for a club that is supposed to be member-owned & member-operated. 11/20/2013 9:42 PMView Responses the website: there should be a weekly events page, that includes, event, times, price, etc. Also, website should include a link to our accounts, to verify and /or print charges, as well as a way to pay them via credit card or e-check. 11/20/2013 8:10 AMView Responses Weekly email announcements-important items are sometimes placed at the end and can be missed. An email can look like the specials of the day and because we all get so much email it might be wise to prioritize items differently or send two emails some weeks so we don't miss something we might deem important. 11/20/2013 2:11 AMView Responses Printed newsletter comes out too late much of the time. 11/19/2013 10:43 PMView Responses Billing should contain a greater level of detail. This past season it was erratic as well - there was one month I never received my bill.It would be nice to have an online system for viewing bills so you can check your purchases. 11/18/2013 10:17 AMView Responses The committee reporting and clubhouse policies could be promoted more. 11/16/2013 11:21 AMView Responses

I don't think anything needs to be in print. perhaps give members option to receive all notices by email. bills are confusing... 11/16/2013 9:11 AMView Responses Maybe a preseason list of golf events; brief description, eligibility , price. Enables to schedule ahead and choose best fit. 11/15/2013 6:52 PMView Responses Members need to be notified that liquor should not leave the premises. This is a liability for BCC. This needs to be communicated at the start of the season and during. An email notice should go out to all. 11/15/2013 5:00 PMView Responses There are far to many grammatical and spelling mistakes on the written communications. It is embarrassing to have these sent out as representing the quality of the Club. 11/14/2013 7:23 AMView Responses Still hard to read monthly billing. 11/13/2013 9:13 PMView Responses eliminate over time as much of the printed material as possible. It's a waste of $$ and the wrong thing for the planet. 11/13/2013 8:00 PMView Responses I think billing could be done through email 11/13/2013 3:52 PMView Responses We are becoming a younger, more tolerant club. We can be open minded and high quality and we seem to be moving in this direction. 11/13/2013 11:38 AMView Responses I received ONE bill all summer long. ONE. I contacte Melinda several times to no avail. How can that be allowed? And when I finally did receive a bill - there were erroneous charges. I called again to have them removed. I left countless messages and sent several emails and never hear back from her until October. It's appalling that it's allowed. It's my least favorite experience at BCC, and I am not alone. 11/12/2013 7:56 PMView Responses Committee reporting is sporadic, late or never. Newsletter is mailed too late to be of any real value 11/12/2013 6:28 PMView Responses Don't over communicate via email. Why can't you allow me to get and pay bills online ? Why do you spend money on the newsletter, use email. 11/12/2013 2:56 PMView Responses I do not need a printed calendar. I think the emails work great. It is nice to get the printed newsletter 2-3 times during the season. (that calendar I look at) 11/12/2013 2:17 PMView Responses Bills should be available just after billing period. We should be able to auto-pay with a credit card. Blue jeans should be banned again. The rule on women's shorts is abused. The dress code in general is not enforced. The handbook should be reviewed and all rules that are ignored or not enforced should be taken out. It actually makes a mockery of the book to have policies just to make the book look serious. The use of fines or suspensions may be tough love, but they work at other clubs. I've been against the use of cell phones on the property since 1996, and now there is a problem. 11/12/2013 2:17 PMView Responses Replace Lisa with manager 11/12/2013 1:32 PMView Responses Sometimes if you only read the top portion of an email you might easily miss an announcement of an upcoming event-each special event should get its own email. 11/12/2013 1:12 PMView Responses Very surprised online billing and payment is not available. The abiliity to see past bills/invoices online is something that should be available. 11/12/2013 12:59 AMView Responses Need better warning about social members deadline to prepay food minimums. 11/12/2013 12:56 AMView Responses Why print the calendar? Clubhouse (actually ALL policies) need to be periodically reinforced or perhaps reintroduced to the members... Tee to green is not published frequently enough.... I don't think I've seen one since summer 11/12/2013 12:49 AMView Responses Given todays technology receiving a bill in the mail for charges that can be a month and a half old (if mailed on time) seems to be ridicules. 11/12/2013 8:14 AMView Responses I had trouble with billing this summer. I never received a bill all summer long, which made it hard to verify my charges after such a long gap. Have you thought about offering a 10% discount for paying for your social fees by October 1st. 11/11/2013 10:45 PMView Responses Invoicing is not always clear 11/11/2013 10:40 AMView Responses

Statements need to be sent in a more timely fashion. Access via the internet would be great, as well as payment via the internet. 11/11/2013 9:23 AMView Responses It would be nice to have more detail on the bill such as what you ordered when you have a charge. Other clubs provided you with a snap shot of the bill you got. 11/11/2013 1:12 AMView Responses Billing has been a joke. We have tried several times with phone calls and emails and the response has been non existent with us making several attempts to. Correct our account. The excuse we keep hearing is the new billing system is at fault. 11/10/2013 11:14 PMView Responses Tee to Green news typically outdated when received. Did we ever publish one after July this year? Was the Calcutta ever held this year after the postponement announcement? 11/10/2013 9:15 PMView Responses Printed annual calendar a huge waste of money. Tee to Green would be useful if it came on on time (before half the month's calendar was over) and if staff and Board wrote more articles of relevance to membership 11/10/2013 4:18 PMView Responses Don't think we are doing enough to educate new members on fixing ball marks, pace of play, etiquette, etc. Also not enforcing hat, cell phone rules... 11/10/2013 10:40 AMView Responses Would be nice to sign up for Social events like golf. 11/10/2013 10:28 AMView Responses Billing should be more clear and timely 11/10/2013 9:12 AMView Responses Billing has to be improved for next year. Our billing was extremely confusing, often had errors, and did not come consistently throughout the summer. 11/10/2013 7:13 AMView Responses I would love to be able to log online to track my account use 11/9/2013 10:20 PMView Responses I would like to see our clubhouse minimums printed out on our bills more than once when we get monthly bills so I know what I have spent or not. 11/9/2013 12:34 AMView Responses Honesty in reporting club information. 11/9/2013 12:10 AMView Responses the billing system is quite frustrating and not timely. 11/9/2013 8:47 AMView Responses The new billings are difficult to understand. 11/9/2013 8:25 AMView Responses I want the ability to view my account on line. I do not always ask or are offerred a receipt when I purchase product at the clubhouse. And, it would really be a great service if I could log on to my BCC acct at any time to see what I owe. 11/9/2013 8:14 AMView Responses ridiculous that we cannot see monthly financial statements on a more timely manner 11/9/2013 8:04 AMView Responses Stop mailing out printed monthly newsletter. tee to Green should be done electronically. Minutes of all meetings should be emailed to the membership, in addition to being posted on the website. 11/9/2013 7:03 AMView Responses would prefer to be able to access the information online. the statements are confusing to read 11/9/2013 7:00 AMView Responses Printed calendar is a waste of money. Billing is usually VERY confusing. Numerous entries on the same day or evening. What committee reporting, I wasn't aware that they met anymore. I think Tee to Green printed as it is, is a nice touch. 11/8/2013 9:38 PMView Responses

calendar not needed and costly 11/8/2013 9:09 PMView Responses All communication is late. when we know the distribution of the monthly letter will not be received before the 15th to 20th of the month information is either late about an event that has already passed or is not presented about a soon to be event. 11/8/2013 9:09 PMView Responses Please institute online bill pay! Also committee, board, and special membership meeting minutes need to be released in a more timely manner! Stop wasting money with Tee 2 Green and the calendar. Allow members to commit to going paper free and throw them a $1 bill credit each month or something to support the switch. For the older members you can print and mail both. 11/8/2013 7:15 PMView Responses Bills should be sent out the first day of each month and collected within 15days of that mailing. Noise in clubhouse is unacceptable and smoking on porch needs to be elimanated. 11/8/2013 6:58 PMView Responses In this day and age and maybe with the new system it would be nice to be able to check our bill on line. Who can remember if they rented a golf cart 27 days ago. It is obviously in the computer could it be accessed? If it would save $$ I would be glad to get newsletter electronically. 11/8/2013 6:02 PMView Responses billing should be correct. email no paper. 11/8/2013 5:52 PMView Responses

What can we as a club do to increase attendance at social events? somehow encourage true mixing of members. The membership seems very 'cliquey'. 12/1/2013 3:01 PMView Responses Lower the price! 12/1/2013 2:26 PMView Responses reduce costs 12/1/2013 9:29 AMView Responses Consider changing the format for the higher flights in the club championship to match play. Medal play for players that have a handicap index above 10 is a complete grind over two days. Match play is a better format for the average golfer. It's a lot more fun too. Please apply this to the golf events portion of this survey. 11/30/2013 5:01 PMView Responses make sure all members not just golf league people or couples feel welcome; generational from young to old keep the music fun and the themes fun 11/30/2013 4:50 PMView Responses Have something to offer that cannot be had at any other restaurant/venue. 11/30/2013 4:20 PMView Responses Make it easier to attend as a single person. 11/26/2013 7:36 PMView Responses We need more committee involvement in social events 11/26/2013 12:52 AMView Responses Eliminate Friday night couples and open to all who wish to play on Friday nights 11/26/2013 12:50 AMView Responses Price to high 11/21/2013 3:22 PMView Responses More reasonable price / most events are too overpriced. Maybe more informal gatherings or groups or individuals to promote certain events to get members committed to events. 11/19/2013 10:52 PMView Responses Plan better and allow more time to sign up. Too many events were cancelled this year well before the event date. If an event is going to be cancelled weeks before its scheduled, that should be clearly communicated to the membership and early sign up encouraged. 11/18/2013 10:25 PMView Responses I feel there could be a greater variety of events for members with more marketing of the events. Very disappointed to have had the New Year's party canceled last year before people had a chance to sign up and NO party planned for this year although it has been suggested by many to Lisa. I feel the New Year's event 2 years ago had a GREAT turnout and many would return if given the chance. Lisa seems very dissinterested to hear our views. 11/18/2013 10:19 AMView Responses Santas brunch is way too crowded and too long. Maybe have two times to allow a more enjoyable experience. Save money and time and have Santa come up the road on the horse drawn sleigh instead of the helicopter. 11/17/2013 11:23 AMView Responses Improve the food overall would encourage more people to eat there on a regular basis. 11/16/2013 11:23 AMView Responses maybe events that are more informal... cocktails and snacks or light meal... a chance to invite friends who might decide to become members... 11/16/2013 9:15 AMView Responses Drink discounts. 11/15/2013 7:37 PMView Responses I've heard that membership is high enough and additional costs for events would keep attendance down. 11/15/2013 6:58 PMView Responses The social events are wonderful. We need more members to encourage others to attend. All board and committees members should be expected to attend social events. 11/15/2013 5:01 PMView Responses

Better meals. ! Get competitive with what is available into area . Your competition . Do some benchmarking and then become as good or better 11/14/2013 1:47 PMView Responses Make them more exciting and interesting. The majority of the people who like the social events want to see some Pizzazz in the event. Make them fun, get out of the box, take a chance. It's a social event and a bit more out of the box would be well received. 11/13/2013 11:40 AMView Responses Have better quality food 11/13/2013 7:42 AMView Responses Have a opening and closing party at no or low cost. I think BCC could do a better job building its community. 11/12/2013 10:57 PMView Responses Softer music. We don't attend because it is too noisy to talk. 11/12/2013 9:41 PMView Responses Better food 11/12/2013 8:59 PMView Responses Do not have bands at social events. People want to visit with friends & not shout over loud music. we can go elsewhere for live music. 11/12/2013 8:22 PMView Responses Engage your Social members more. We feel as though we don't count. 11/12/2013 7:58 PMView Responses Must improve kitchen work force. When the food is well prepared the members will come to the table. 11/12/2013 2:51 PMView Responses It is great that you are trying some new things. Going to dinner or a cocktail party are not always most appealing to all people. The new kids events have been great. And, although walking with wine did not get a lot of people ---it was good. Breakfast with Santa is the best! 11/12/2013 2:21 PMView Responses Younger crowd with energy 11/12/2013 1:33 PMView Responses Serve better food- so people would choose to come to the club for dinner11/12/2013 1:16 PMView Responses Offer quality vs. price. I avoided some social events this year because I didn't want to pay the price for what I assumed would be poor food and service. 11/11/2013 5:05 PMView Responses I am not sure what else can be done at this point. Not everyone is in it to be a very social member. Many, it seems just want to play their golf and go home(and meet their minimums,of course). 11/11/2013 1:56 PMView Responses need to be aware of the timing of them and look at what else is going on in terms of other events at the club or for woman any special tournaments etc. 11/11/2013 1:14 AMView Responses Lower the price or offer a great meal and keep the price the same. 11/10/2013 11:15 PMView Responses Fix Grill Room acoustics. 11/10/2013 9:16 PMView Responses not sure 11/10/2013 4:42 PMView Responses For the most part I see the club as a place to play golf. Many members, myself included, are not looking for social events and certainly not as frequently as they are offered.

I would like to attend more member social events not necessarily golf related 11/10/2013 4:10 PMView Responses lower price 11/10/2013 11:27 AMView Responses Focus attention on non-golf activities particularly for families and children. Chad's campfire and archery were huge hits. 11/9/2013 9:30 PMView Responses Don't charge so much for member events. They should be a service and break even, not gouge the members. 11/9/2013 12:35 AMView Responses Good music 11/9/2013 9:05 AMView Responses Reduce kids price at brunches 11/9/2013 8:56 AMView Responses Great fun! Lisa and her staff do a great job....good food...esp that roast beef!! 11/9/2013 8:49 AMView Responses Reduce the cost... 11/9/2013 8:17 AMView Responses My guess is that attendance is directly related to price. If you want to increase attendance lower prices. 11/9/2013 7:05 AMView Responses Improve the food. 11/9/2013 6:16 AMView Responses Get more member/committee input BEFORE the event is scheduled. Tend to be a little over priced. You don't need a band or DJ as often as you think. These are MEMBER events and for those most part should be break even, or at least not deemed as a source to support the bottom line. 11/8/2013 9:43 PMView Responses not a thing if people do not wish to participate 11/8/2013 9:25 PMView Responses Lower the price! A free keg goes a long way and does not cost that much! Better food and if expectations of food are meet people will keep coming back. 11/8/2013 7:16 PMView Responses

What Social Events would you like to see offered? we need an event specifically to welcome new members-it's very hard for new members to meet other golfers 12/1/2013 9:29 AMView Responses keep the layed back feeling of the women's closing banquet where formal dinners and seats werent necessary ; lots of fun and openness 11/30/2013 4:50 PMView Responses More that involve the grounds...the wine walking event was a good idea...maybe night time golf or putt event. 11/30/2013 4:20 PMView Responses Dinner/dance 11/21/2013 3:22 PMView Responses It would be nice to have some more social/golf events that mixed up the members. We can always get to know some of the other members. Several other clubs do this very successfully on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. 11/20/2013 2:15 AMView Responses Men's night once a month or spring -summer -fall night Ladies night the same Coed night. Member - Guest Dinner night or maybe dinner dance with DJ or soft music 11/19/2013 10:52 PMView Responses Calcutta, New Years Party. The Walk With Wine event at the end of the year was a great first try. Keep it going and hold it a month earlier. 11/18/2013 10:25 PMView Responses More events that encourage member participation with dancing 11/18/2013 10:19 AMView Responses I know you have tried wine tasting nights; I think it is a good idea, especially wine pairings with improved food. 11/16/2013 11:23 AMView Responses New Year's Eve Party 11/15/2013 5:01 PMView Responses More events with the kids. Theme days like summer camp, olympics, etc. We are a country club in Vermont. Let's have some down-to-earth Fun! What about Saturday night special like, lobster rolls and a beer for $12.95 at the pool? I think more casual events would be well attended. 11/12/2013 10:57 PMView Responses Golden oldie music night 11/12/2013 9:41 PMView Responses How about acoustic music on deck Sat/Sun afternoons? 11/12/2013 8:22 PMView Responses I love what Chad began when he started. Once a month kid and adult events is exactly what we want. Wine tastings, running races, bonfires, hikes, etc. There is more fun to be had from the Social members outside of the pool hours. 11/12/2013 7:58 PMView Responses continue to try some new things and perhaps some family events not just for young kids---but, also middle school or older? This year had a lot of great options. Casual family pool parties may be fun---perhaps on a Thursday night even sometimes? 11/12/2013 2:21 PMView Responses Themed dinners 11/12/2013 1:16 PMView Responses Casual happy hours with music (acoustic) in the bar area - Thurs, Fri & Sat? 11/11/2013 2:11 PMView Responses I have no specific ideas for new events. The heavy Hors d'oeuvres food(great) and price(great) point seems to attract a lot....and we(you, staff) do it very, very well. 11/11/2013 1:56 PMView Responses Sunday Football in the fall with a wing bar 11/11/2013 9:46 AMView Responses

A few events in the winter. Not expensive but fun. Maybe a wine tasting or fondue night., The xmas holiday party is always great and I think Lisa wright is doing a great job 11/11/2013 1:14 AMView Responses There were some great offerings for families at the end of the season. Really fun end of the summer bash for kids--thank you! I hope to see more of this next year. Movie night is great. It would also be great if some evenings there could be free kids/family activities at the pool. I love the idea of a movie showing at night for kids at the pool on the weekends. Maybe music as well. A lot more families would stick around and buy dinner and drinks if the kids were entertained. 11/10/2013 7:16 AMView Responses More club building events 11/9/2013 8:56 AMView Responses I do not see BCC as a center for my social life. I find many members aloof and observe too many clicks. 11/9/2013 8:17 AMView Responses I'm fine with what is available. 11/9/2013 7:05 AMView Responses None 11/8/2013 9:25 PMView Responses The BCC women have great social events! 11/8/2013 7:51 PMView Responses More fun events geared to all members and more towards intermediate members. 11/8/2013 7:16 PMView Responses finals on sporting events. Example; Super Bowl, Major golf tournaments 11/8/2013 6:58 PMView Responses Outdoor barbecues weekly 11/8/2013 5:46 PMView Responses

If you marked either “Very Dissatisfied” or Very Satisfied” on any of the above questions, please briefly explain why. Neutral on pool and social events as I partake in neither. 12/2/2013 7:53 AMView Responses The main reason I am a member is that BCC is a great course that is very well maintained 12/1/2013 3:37 PMView Responses too many tournaments and other events making access to course difficult. costs going up too quickly 12/1/2013 3:04 PMView Responses BCC is losing its reputation as a premier course......they are no longer competitive re price with other courses in the area 12/1/2013 2:28 PMView Responses The course is beautiful, well kept and challenging. the club house looked great this year with new landscaping. 12/1/2013 11:57 AMView Responses great golf course well maintained. very attractive and friendly clubhoiuse. Alot of good people. 12/1/2013 10:10 AMView Responses there are too many golf events that interfere with weekend play-move the "senior" golf events to midweek dates 12/1/2013 9:31 AMView Responses extremely good value, great golf course 12/1/2013 9:07 AMView Responses I'm extremely upset about the very high dues increase this year with virtually no explanation. 8-9% increase is unacceptable. 11/30/2013 5:27 PMView Responses My overall experience as a first year member has been great. The staff as a whole does an excellent job making the O'Connell family feel welcome. Keep up the great work. 11/30/2013 5:06 PMView Responses I love the location of the Course, its layout and its condition. It has more than enough challenge without being punitive. 11/27/2013 11:57 AMView Responses I enjoyed the quality and ease of playing on the a course. As a single player I appreciate being able to play almost any time and enjoyed most all of the people I was paired with. 11/26/2013 7:40 PMView Responses It's hard to use with a family - not enough family friendly activities that encourage adults to be WITH kids on the course 11/26/2013 1:19 PMView Responses I was not happy about the high increase of dues with now warning. 11/26/2013 12:54 AMView Responses 1) Availability of tee times during the season because of the excessive number of tournaments scheduled on summer weekends. Accordingly, the cost of membership is excessive when compared to availability of weekend tee times. 11/26/2013 12:53 AMView Responses The golf course has never been better and Jason and his crew continue to improve all aspects with attention to the future. Bravo! 11/23/2013 9:20 PMView Responses The course is spectacular and the clubhouse is very well maintained. Thank you 11/23/2013 10:17 AMView Responses Value relative to cost is very high. 11/22/2013 6:20 PMView Responses I think the course is kept in beautiful condition, is challenging and enjoyable and compared to other courses in the area is a very nice course. I am really enjoying the additional attention to naturalizing and adding flowers to the course, I would like to see more of this as it really adds to the overall look and appeal of playing our course. 11/22/2013 11:54 AMView Responses Overall experience there has been very satisfying 11/21/2013 9:34 AMView Responses

My dissatisfaction stems from two sources. First, the hijacking of the club governance mechanism by a few individuals who, for lack of a better phrase, felt they were the smartest guys in the room. The previous system may have been noisy, inefficient & cumbersome but isn't that also an apt description of the democratic process. At any one time, 10%+ of the membership were involved in helping to manage our club. Many ideas & many perspectives with the corresponding debates & criticisms they engendered, helped keep the club vibrant & the membership interested. Now we have a Board within the Board (the Operations Committee) with some members more equal than others. With this ill-advised concentration of power, there is more opportunity of bad or questionable decisions. A small example: Do you think that a committee would have purchased those silly chairs for our dining room? My second source of dissatisfaction is related to the first, i.e. the general manager concept. A wonderful theory but, practically speaking, a solution in search of a problem. Hence the circular argument: Why do we need a general manager? The new governance structure calls for one. Why did we change that structure? So we could have a general manager. It is intellectually dishonest to change our governance & then complain that our volunteer president (and others) can't keep up with the volume of work. I also feel that the GM discussion, at least as presented to the membership, appeared to take place in a financial vacuum. This is not an investment in land, equipment or bricks-and-mortar but in overhead, a dubious proposition. Do we have a capital fund? a rainy-day fund? The GM discussion should be part of a larger one that involves the costs a new clubhouse roof, sewer line and pool improvements, not to mention ongoing maintenance projects. How many times are we going to raise dues and/or levy assessments to pay for a lack of vision & prudence? 11/20/2013 10:35 PMView Responses too many social events. 11/20/2013 8:13 AMView Responses 9% increase in dues? 11/20/2013 8:04 AMView Responses Jason and his crew had a very difficult year and pulled it off. With the exception of some irregularity of the amount of sand opinion various bunkers I was very happy. While still a penalty, it seemed that the rough was a little more forgiving this year-just a little. 11/20/2013 2:24 AMView Responses Golf course exceptional shape most of the time although members need to care for fairways and greens by replacing divots & repairing ball marks on greens. Bag carriers need to carry seed to repair divots. 11/19/2013 10:58 PMView Responses I feel there could be greater marketing and overall increased social events. 11/18/2013 10:21 AMView Responses Pool and pool area are in dire need of improvement. 11/18/2013 7:54 AMView Responses Food quality and selection 11/17/2013 11:24 AMView Responses Great course, great and very functional clubhouse and very convenient to access from where I live and work. 11/16/2013 11:06 AMView Responses BCC is wonderful golf course, beautiful and perfect location, operated by friendly and knowledgeable staff. I am concerned about rising cost of membership and the "need" to have expensive driving range and full time manager. are there enough young people who can/will afford this? no. while I love this course, if costs continue to rise I won't stay. I know many others are also on the fence on this issue. we should make hard choices re needs vs. wants in the next few years. 11/16/2013 9:21 AMView Responses Overall great experience (my 1st year). Very friendly and helpful staff 11/15/2013 7:01 PMView Responses During the rainy time, Jason and his few did a fantastic job in getting the course ready for tournaments and everyday play. The bunkers were fantastic! Lisa does a wonderful job making members feel welcomed and important. She is a major reason why I do as much as I can to support the events she organizes. They are also usually great! 11/15/2013 5:04 PMView Responses All in all...happy camper 11/15/2013 10:23 AMView Responses Vermont National has become very competitive. Offer seniors a. Better deal . If you become 75 during the calendar year you get the discount ! 11/14/2013 1:52 PMView Responses Location, interesting members,"Burlington Shangri-la",friendly staff ,most members welcome strangers to playalong with them. 11/14/2013 11:23 AMView Responses The golf course is usually in excellent condition especially considering the weather issues of this past season. The bunkers need work. The golf tournaments very well run, the Pro Shop excels in this area. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The Club House ran efficiently and the quality of service and food showed significant improvement. Lisa and her staff did an outstanding job in bringing revenue to the Club far in excess of their budget. 11/14/2013 7:31 AMView Responses

I think the pool area is looking very tired! 11/13/2013 8:37 AMView Responses I think the experience could stand to improve, especially for the money. We joined so that the kids would have a place to get wet. There is not much competition out there, besides town pools in Essex and Vergennes. I am paying extra for crowd control and a snack bar and for us the distance is a reasonable commute. We do also enjoy meeting up with friends and bringing friends to the pool. In the end, it have given our family some nice summer memories, an on-demand summer activity and a place to cool off on the very hot days. Of course, I do hope you do not raise the social member fees again this year. Especially without seeing any improvements to the pool area. I am so fond of what the new members service guy (I can not remember his name) had done just within the last few weeks of the summer. Thank you and I look forward to next season! 11/12/2013 11:05 PMView Responses Just wish our dining experiences could be better so The Club would be our first choice for dinning out with out of town guests. Also Friday Night a Couples dinner menu was horrible to the point we stopped going. 11/12/2013 9:04 PMView Responses Golf experience is great considering in town location. 11/12/2013 8:23 PMView Responses Nothing to complain about regarding the course or clubhouse. 11/12/2013 5:00 PMView Responses Mulligans should be open later on week nights. As an intermediate member, I got the majority of my golf in on week nights and Mulligans was closed on most nights by the time I got there. It should, without exception, be open while there are golfers on the course. Also, a food/drink cart should be utilized MUCH more often. I golfed over 40 complete rounds this summer and saw a drink cart on three occasions. Access to tee times was NOT as described. In my tour I was told that access to earlier tee times would be granted after 5:00pm on Wednesdays, this was simply not true. Finally, billing should be available online and via credit card. I was astounded that the club still did not offer online payment and various payment options. Many younger members cannot make it to the club during the day on week days to visit the office and make payments. Also, the club should probably invest in a new website. The dated look and inadequate cell-phone functionality really date the club. Practice facilities are poor for a club of this quality, as you know, and the balls are picked up far too early. Please contact me if you have any more questions or would like more advice on how to be a more attractive club to younger upwardly mobile professionals like myself. FGCicchetti@gmail.com or 802-318-7006 . Thank you. 11/12/2013 3:57 PMView Responses Without good practice facilities we are missing the mark. An improved driving range is a must 11/12/2013 2:54 PMView Responses see pool notes in previous question. 11/12/2013 2:22 PMView Responses We have been making up excuses for the condition of our greens for too long..... Also, the course has many "scars" that are not being taken care of..... Holes that need filling, cart wheel marks, muddy areas that don't get fixed, etc. to say nothing of grass growing in some bunkers..... Something is amiss in the attention to detail. The BCC has a reputation of a 1st rate golf facility, but we are missing on some things..... 11/12/2013 12:55 AMView Responses The club meets my expectations for the activities I take part in and I am always pleased with my dining experiences. 11/12/2013 12:46 AMView Responses Club house noise is unacceptable 11/11/2013 10:29 AMView Responses

The pool facility is average at best. Would prefer a great workout facility. 11/10/2013 11:17 PMView Responses A good number and they are separated nicely 11/10/2013 11:29 AMView Responses The golf course is in great shape. It shows the care and maintenance given the course with the trying weather we had this year. 11/10/2013 10:41 AMView Responses We have been warmly welcomed as new members. 11/10/2013 10:30 AMView Responses Overall the facility, and staff are great. 11/10/2013 9:14 AMView Responses Time to change Floyd James format! Two member guests one in July (Floyd James) one in August (McAndrew's) with fewer participants for each tournament should be considered. 11/10/2013 8:38 AMView Responses The service in the clubhouse is unacceptable. Beginning with Lisa down the service this past years has been VERY poor. I tried to arrange an event and did not hear back from Lisa for at least 10 days. Also, the food and overall training for staff in grill room is down. Need to improve. 11/10/2013 7:43 AMView Responses The Club needs to focus on member services and get away from relying upon outside functions. 11/9/2013 9:31 PMView Responses Love the golf course and the condition of it, after that it goes downhill a bit, but I'm there for the golf, so as long as that stays at the current level I'm happy. 11/9/2013 4:00 PMView Responses At my level of play, not great, I find the condition of the course, especially with early summer rain, to be outstanding. The traps are especially nice. If more/all folks would just repair their ball marks 11/9/2013 2:35 PMView Responses The club is no longer a members club. We have sold our clubhouse to the public to the point that the Welcome sign at the doors is for only those who are not the paying, loyal members. The golf course is wonderful, it is maintained with pride, it is the reason we belong. 11/9/2013 12:17 AMView Responses A great golf course, beautiful surroundings and friendly people.I noticed that the employees genuinely appear to be happy at BCC. That speaks volumes. 11/9/2013 11:08 AMView Responses Too Many 11/9/2013 10:33 AMView Responses Awesome golf course. Jason has done a fantastic job. Cost of membership is very reasonable. Would not be opposed to increase. Great membership. Great friendships. 11/9/2013 9:02 AMView Responses I think the appearance of the club is the best it's ever been. 11/9/2013 9:02 AMView Responses BCC is a beautiful club and I am thrilled to be a member. My thanks to all those who make it the special place that it is. 11/9/2013 8:51 AMView Responses The golf course is usually in great shape and is a great challenge. The reduced dues for long-time members and the yearly charge for cart is fair. 11/9/2013 8:30 AMView Responses I think Jason and his staff do a fabulous job of keeping the course in great condition. 11/9/2013 7:06 AMView Responses i would like to see more but informal w/e tournament type functions available as part of the T time bookings 11/9/2013 7:03 AMView Responses See previous comments. 11/9/2013 6:17 AMView Responses

We have a Great club, great members, very balanced in all areas. 11/8/2013 9:46 PMView Responses The course is not in the condition it use to be. 11/8/2013 9:27 PMView Responses Love BCC! I don't use the pool so neutral on those questions. I love the golf course and clubhouse. My big complaint is the cost of food for golfing events. I think the price is fine for regular dining, but feel we're getting hosed on member golf events. 11/8/2013 7:46 PMView Responses Clubhouse management needs a huge overhaul, start by getting rid of Lisa and Brady and merge their position and hire someone who can do both and is willing to listen to the members and genuinely cares about them and isnt just working at BCC to collect a pay check. More diverse and cost friendly events are a necessity. Possibly even tweak the format of twlight and introduce a true Ryder Cup style event vs VNCC. Golf staff needs to play golf not just teach and work the shop. 11/8/2013 7:19 PMView Responses already have answered in my previous comments 11/8/2013 7:01 PMView Responses I love our golf course. I do wish we had a driving range and my wife would be much more involved if we had tennis courts. Over all I enjoy the club and people. Sometimes I think we don't quite get the fact that WE own the club. It is not a for profit business and often times as I pay more for a drink than I would have to downtown I wonder why. We should run specials on beer and drinks to reward those that support the clubhouse. Members that support the food and beverage services should not be carrying other areas. I have been around long enough to remember when the clubhouse lost money. Don't want to go there and I love that outside events bring in good revenue. I just think given that we can't use monthly assessment for drinks that they should be more reasonably priced. Again not life threatening. 11/8/2013 6:15 PMView Responses need practice facility, golf course still has a ways to go to be the top rate course it should be 11/8/2013 6:05 PMView Responses our membership is what makes our club exceptional, pricing is getting a bit heavy 11/8/2013 6:00 PMView Responses I am extremely disappointed with the condition of the golf course and the quality of the food at bcc 11/8/2013 5:50 PMView Responses
