IPPA NEWS UPDATE Iberian International Open 17 – 18 November 2012, La Cartuja – Sevilla, Spain Father and son, Andres and Victor Pastor were winning two categories and the absolute championship!!!! Well done and congratulations to both of you. More about this later in this news update.

Saturday started in a “shoot gun” mode and with two groups of players, 09.00 and 12.00. Despite the difficulties with hard rain from time to time, an IPPA champion, Hugo Espirtio Santo from Portugal took a strong lead from the beginning and scored 46.

Sevilla was showing its best side on Friday during the practice rounds with sun, blue sky and around 25ºc. Unfortunately the weather changed dramatically on Saturday with heavy rain showers and with socking greens. La Cartuja course is a part of an impressive sports complex situated where the World Expo was located in 1992. It is owed by the municipality and with its modest fees it makes it available to everyone. On the driving range some 30.000 balls are in the air every day.

Due to the high number of inscriptions, 72 players, and lack of daylight, it has been decided to play one round of 18 holes each day.

He was closely followed by the junior Victor Pastor who scored 49. Jose Luis Lopez, Spain also under par and scored 50.
