Programme Note we are for one, we are for all was written for The Commonwealth Resounds and is based on poetry by Michael Dome. Inspired by the musical traditions from Papua New Guinea the piece opens with a call to arms before the choir joins together in a rousing chorus. Duration c. 2’40�

We are for one, we are for all, We rise, we stand as one for all. We are for all. We are for one, we are for all, Sons and daughters, great and small. If some ill fate someday befall, We rise, we stand as one for all. We are the hope you hold so dear, We are your courage against fear, We are your vision, bright and clear. We are for one, we are for all. Then, in dark days when we too face The trials and tests of creed and race, We pray for guidance and for grace, To all who strive for common peace.
