Temperatures in the Upstate haven’t yet caught up with the calendar’s recent flip to fall, but that isn’t delaying the rollout of autumnal releases across the food and bev world. And that applies to beer, too. While few things can beat a thirstquenching cold one on a scorching summer day, the fall months have become a highly anticipated time of year for seasonal beer releases. And that doesn’t only apply to enthusiasts of the now-ubiquitous pumpkin flavor — although there’s certainly plenty of that to go around. Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, brown sugar, and maple are just a handful of the flavor components found in fall brews. The Greenville Journal recently asked some local craft brewery folks to give us the details on their current and upcoming seasonal releases. Cheers!
