The South Carolina Supreme Court will not rule on the legality of a governance change proposed by Greenville Health System’s (GHS) board of trustees, saying the proposal was too unformed for the justices to evaluate. “Because GHS has not finalized a proposal as to the restructuring nor even made a final decision to reorganize, the Court cannot determine whether a restructuring plan would violate any statutory or constitutional provisions,” the court said in a document issued Jan. 15. “Any decision by the Court as to whether a proposal to reorganize GHS is authorized would be based on a continGHS continued on PAGE 12
