As we approach November, our community has much to reflect on and celebrate together. First, Veterans Day on November 11th provides an opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation with courage and dedication. I encourage everyone attend the Veterans Day Parade downtown on November 9 at 10am as we pay tribute to the sacrifices of our veterans and express our gratitude for their service
Later this month, Thanksgiving reminds us of the importance of family, gratitude, and community It is a time to come together with loved ones and reflect on the many blessings we share as a community Let’s continue to foster kindness and generosity in our neighborhoods, helping those in need and supporting each other as we give thanks. One of the ways we can do so is by giving to our local food pantries. This time of year especially is one of great need, and your benevolence could make a big difference.
Finally, the holiday season officially begins with our Tree Lighting at Heritage Park on November 25th at 6:30pm This cherished tradition brings warmth and joy to our community, illuminating our shared spaces with festive lights and holiday spirit through the entire month of December Join us as we celebrate the season, enjoy holiday treats, and listen to carolers, bringing together people of all ages in a magical evening of joy and unity
Let’s make this November one of gratitude, community spirit, and celebration. I look forward to seeing you at these events as we honor our veterans, give thanks, and celebrate the start of the holiday season in a big “TRUE TEXAS” fashion!
