We’re excited to partner with Soccer Shots and Skyhawks again to host youth sport classes and camps this autumn. The annual favorite Pump kin Harvest Festival expands to Hathaway Park in 2022 after many successful years in Reflection Plaza. SOCCER-CLASSIC Soccer Shots Classic utilizes creative and imaginative games to focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting, while highlighting a positive character trait each session such as re spect, teamwork and appreciation.

SOCCER-PREMIER Soccer Shots Premier focuses on indi vidual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Children will also be introduced to competition in a develop mentally appropriate manner.

LOCATION: Hathaway Park SUN, 9/11-11/13, 11:25AM-12:10PM Soccer Shots is a program that positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through best-inclass coaching, communication and REGISTRATIONcurriculum.

Soccer Shots Mini is a high-energy program introducing children to funda mental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Parent/guardian participation is required for Mini pro grams so group sizes are limited to six children per class. For health reasons, only one parent/guardian can participate with each child.

3 Skyhawks offers 10+ different sports camps and programs, providing countless ways for your child to grow. REGISTRATION LOCATION Various parks throughout Washougal MINI-HAWK (BASEBALL) This baseball program was developed to give children a positive first step into athletics. Sports are taught in a safe, structured environment filled with en couragement and fun. Through exciting games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace. AGE: 5-7 | COST: $99 LOCATION: Lower Hathaway Park SAT, 9/24-10/22, 9-9:45AM MINI-HAWK (SOCCER) Young athletes will gain the technical skills and sport knowledge required for their next step into soccer. Areas of focus are dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. By the end of the program, the athletes will have learned new life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship, made new friends and improved their soccer skills. The City’s strategic plan lays out goals and objectives for the long term. This plan’s success depends on input from people like you, who know and love Washougal and have a vested interest in making it an even better place going forward.

A strategic plan prioritizes mission-critical activities and aligns the City’s budget with these priorities to increase efficiency and effectiveness. If the City does not think strategically and make the effort to plan for the future, we may struggle to maintain focus and make progress toward the outcomes that are most important for the residents and businesses in our community. The city is working with a consultant, BerryDunn, to complete this 4process.


The Washougal Pickleball Courts at Hatha way Park were resurfaced over the summer. Built in 2014, the courts needed resurfacing due to cracks in the foundation that presented a trip hazard to players. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US and was recently named the official state sport of Washington by Governor Inslee! popular with senior populations, the courts bring together friends of all ages and encourage physical activity within the entire has completed the 9-hole disc golf course at Hamllik Park! Along this scenic recreate while taking in the natural beauty of this park.



Disc golf is a growing sport in our area. Based on customer requests, the City worked diligently bring this exciting amenity to the community. Pinocle is a trick-taking, Ace-Ten card game typically for 2-4 players and uses a 48-card deck. New players welcome. Join in for some fun!

Cribbage, or crib, is a card game, tradi tionally for 2 players, that involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gain points. It can be adapted for 3-4 players. Come join us for fun. COST: Free MON, 2:30-5PM

Washougal Senior Association

AGE: Seniors | COST: Free TUE, 2-5PM

Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which 2 or 4 players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using small solid rackets.

PAINTING Watercolor or watercolour, also aquarelle, is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a wa ter-based solution. Come join us for fun.

COST: Free TUE & THU, 1-5PM BINGO Join the Washougal Senior Association for a fun and fast-paced game of BINGO! Bingo is a game marking off numbers as they are drawn randomly by a caller.

This program explores science, technol ogy, engineering, and math (STEM). Build a marshmallow catapult and learn about engineering and physics in the process! Space is limited.

LOCATION Washougal Community Library 1661 C Street FALL STORYTIME KICK-OFF Join the library for a family storytime with songs, fingerplays, and fun activities. AGE: ALL AGES | COST: FREE FRI, 9/30, 10:30-11:30AM PUMPKIN CARVING WORKSHOP This guided workshop will demonstrate tips and techniques to carve your own pumpkin! All supplies will be provided but participants can bring their own pumpkin if they wish. Space is limited to 15 pump kins per workshop. Groups are welcome to participate and share a pumpkin.
