Dates: April 21 - May 21 Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday Location: Whaleyville Recreation Center Time: 4:00PM - 5:15PM Cost: Free Grade: 6-8 This program is designed to reinforce an appreciation of literature by discovering new authors they may enjoy. Discussion of current events within their books can also help improve critical thinking skills. We will publish a reading list prior to the start of the program.

Family, friends, and anyone looking to make new friends through a fondness of active lifestyle can do so through this program. It will be a fun, inclusive and exhilarating way to address the wellness and social needs of the participants. Pre-registration is required.

Movie in the Park Dates: August 28 Movie Time: 8:15PM Cost: Free Ages: All Location: Holland Ball Park Join us at the Holland Ball Field for a free movie in the Park! Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Food vendors will be on site for a late dinner/movie treats!
American Red Cross Community Blood Drive Date: July 2 Time: 1:00PM - 6:00PM Cost: Free Ages: 18+ Location: East Suffolk Recreation Center The East Suffolk Recreation Center is hosting a community blood drive with the American Red Cross. Everyone who donates in July will receive a $5 Amazon gift card as a thank you, and all donations are being tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Bennett’s Creek Park July 30: Buckshot August 6: Affirmative Groove August 13: Slapnation August 20: Deloreans Summer is here, and Suffolk Parks & Recreation is ready to kick it off with the TGIF Summer Concert Series 2021. The Parks will open on Fridays at 6:00PM, and the bands will take the stage at 6:30PM. The music will have you jamming in your seat till 9:30PM. The night will be full of family fun with food vendors, bounce houses, adult beverages, and merchant vendors to shop with. All Fridays are free and open to the public.
Adult Pool Tournament Dates: May 15 Time: 10:00AM - 4:00PM Cost: Free Ages: 18+ Location: East Suffolk Recreation Center Participants will compete in a socially distanced double elimination style tournament with a 1st place and runner up being crowned. Games played will be recorded and posted online for spectator viewing.
