MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER
Spring is here and before we know, everything will be in bloom and days will be warmer and longer Signs of the new season are already popping up all over the City courtesy of the hard work of our City's Parks and Recreation Department These dedicated employees are responsible for the stunning plants, landscaped park fields, and trimmed trees. You may have noticed the beautiful clean-up job of our pond at Porter Park. With the help of our upcoming Starbucks staff who volunteered to help get the park ready for the season, the banks of our pond are now free of leaves and debris.
In addition to our City's team and our partner volunteers, we are fortunate that many of our residents also contribute to the beauty of our community through property maintenance and avoiding code violations. This time of year with grass beginning to grow and spring cleaning projects on the horizon, it's a good time to remind everyone about avoiding various code violations such as tall grass, junk, debris, litter, and outside storage
This time of year is also when many of us begin to think about our kids getting out of school and how to entertain them over the summer We begin to look for the popular events to begin starting up again Soon, our City's splash pad will be open, plans are underway for a Fishing Derby, and our Annual Freedom Fest celebration is right around the corner This year's lineup and festivities are sure to please and residents and visitors will once again get to experience a fireworks show to remember Be sure to visit the City's website, DiscoverSangercom Here you will find up-to-the-minute details about everything going on in Sanger
These are just a few reasons for us to be proud and to know that in Sanger, when you're here, you're home!
John Noblitt Sanger, City Manager
