The July School Holidays are just around the corner and we encourage you to be active in your local community, meet new people and have lots of fun. EVENTS Trials - STAA Netball Player Development Program With over 50 netballers between the ages of 11 and 14 participating in the very successful program in 2014 and 2015, we are excited to have it back again in 2016. The Netball Player Development Program will provide the opportunity for young netballers in Salisbury to develop their game and receive professional coaching from current Adelaide Thunderbird Kate Shimmin. Young netballers aged 11-14 years (as of July 1, 2016) are invited to come and trial for the STAA Netball Player Development Program being established in Salisbury. Players must live in Salisbury or be an active member of a netball club / team / school located in Salisbury. The trials will be held over two weeks: Tuesday 12 July Gardens Recreation Centre (must attend first session) 11 & 12 year olds, 10am to 12 noon 13& 14 year olds, 1pm to 3pm Tuesday 19 July Gardens Recreation Centre (second stage of trials - players informed week 1 if they have been selected to progress) 11 & 12 year olds, 10am to 12 noon 13& 14 year olds, 1pm to 3pm To register or for further information, visit www.STAAnetball2016.eventbrite.com.au.

Come along to Hollywood Plaza on 18 and 22 July to meet Callum Hann and Themis Chryssidis from Sprout Cooking School and learn how to cook some fresh and tasty snacks! The OPAL crew will also be holding interactive cooking classes on the 19 and 20 July! OPAL is a program that’s about everyone in the community working together to create all kinds of ways to enjoy healthy eating and to have fun being active.
