Community News VMCC Parking Lot Work The VMCC parking lot will be completely replaced this fall. Around the middle of August a contractor will be repairing curbs and completely replacing the asphalt surface in the parking lot along 80th Street. This project will be done in phases so the entire lot will not be under construction at the same time. During construction please be careful as there will be uneven surfaces and large pieces of construction equipment in the parking lot. There will also be a light added to the NE corner of the VMCC/Grove to provide better illumination of the entrance and exit of the parking lot to Barbara Avenue.

Election Judges Wanted! The City will be hiring for positions to fill Head Judges and Election Judges to work at polling places on election day. We still are in need of at least 40 election judges. We are looking for individuals that are comfortable using electronic devices (Ipads, Kindles) because paper rosters will no longer be used. If you’re interested apply online at www.invergroveheights.org/ElectionJudges

Metro Dining Club Cards Metro Dining Card boxes will be available for sale for $25 starting September 10. Each box includes over 165 discount cards to restaurants in the St. Paul area, many of which offer an opportunity to enjoy 2 for 1 dining. You and a guest could go out for breakfast, lunch or dinner or order from the regular menu and receive the second entrée “on the house”. Boxes are sold at the Park and Recreation Office and at The Grove Guest Services Desk.
