Education Lowering Blood Pressure Class

Better Choices, Better Health ™

This class is designed for individuals diagnosed with or at risk for high blood pressure.

Develop skills and confidence to manage daily health challenges: Pain and Fatigue Medical Management Difficult Emotions Planning for the Future

A Nurse and Dietitian will discuss healthy lifestyle measures and self management skills to help reduce high blood pressure

Lowering Cholesterol Class

This six week program meets one day per week for 2.5 hours.

A class for people with high blood fats. During this class a Nurse and Dietitian will discuss: Your risk factors for heart disease How to interpret your cholesterol numbers Strategies to help you lower cholesterol Foods to choose, foods to limit

Exercise Includes a professional, individual exercise assessment, personalized program and physical activities that can be continued from home.

Introduction to Type 2 Diabetes Learn about:

Strength Endurance Flexibility Balance

What is diabetes? Blood sugar checking Exercise Healthy eating 2.5 hours with a diabetes nurse and dietitian. Need a blood sugar meter? See your local pharmacist at your convenience - ask what meters they have for free

This eight-week small group program meets twice/week for 1-2 hours.
