Welcome to Coquitlam

Parks, Recreation & Culture Services

You asked, we answered! Winter is on its way with cooler weather and shorter days. You can warm up your winter at one of our recreation facilities. With a ONE PASS you can drop into the pool for a swim or a steam, head to the gym for a workout or try a new yoga class—the options are endless. We recently completed an online survey to find out what type of drop-in fitness classes you want, when you want to take them and how often you want to drop-in. Our new drop-in fitness schedule and offerings reflect what you told us you wanted. Check out what’s available at Would you like to participate in future surveys, and have your say about what’s happening in Coquitlam? Sign up for Viewpoint, our online survey community. As we focus on providing more activities and opportunities to encourage healthy lifestyles today, we are also planning ahead for the growing needs of our community tomorrow. There are a number of older parks in Southwest Coquitlam that require refreshing and/or updating to continue supporting families in surrounding neighbourhoods.

Drawing for Youth

The Park Blitz began in 2017 and will take three years to complete. It will focus on 12 neighbourhood parks in the Burquitlam, Lougheed and Central Coquitlam neighbourhoods. New playgrounds, landscaping, park furnishings and accessible features are being added to ensure these parks meet the needs of our community for years to come.
