2024 July 4 Celebration

Our biggest celebration of the year brought approximately 30,000 people to Elizabeth Milburn Park! Attendees enjoyed live music by Suede, carnival rides, a variety of food trucks and vendors, as well as an incredible fireworks show followed by a movie in the park! Thank you to our Fireworks Show Presenting Sponsor Dell Children's Medical Center, H-E-B, and the Texas Stars.

Did you know July is National Parks & Recreation Month?

In celebration of National Parks & Recreation Month, we highlighted department staff and teams that make the city parks and recreation system go 'round! In addition, we hosted three community celebrations including a famliy fun swim night, member appreciation day at the Cedar Park Recreation Center, and the grand reopening of the Brushy Creek Lake Park Playground. Three cheers for Cedar Park Parks & Recreation!

Brushy Creek Lake Park Playground Grand Reopening

On July 26, Parks & Recreation Month finished strong with the grand reopening of the playground at Brushy Creek Lake Park. We celebrated with a ribbon cutting, popsicles, music, and lots of fun on the playground.

The new playground includes a 2 to 5 year old playground with shade, a separate 5 to 12 year old playground, and swings. The 5 to 12 playground includes two towers, rope climbers, 4 slides and a warped wall.

The new playground is double in size compared to the old playground that was originally installed in 2003. Be sure to stop by with your family or children and experience everything the beautiful, revitalized park has to offer. Brushy Creek Lake Park is located at 3300 Brushy Creek Road.
