ARTS ED SEAL OF APPROVAL

FROM EALING TO NAIROBI St Benedict’s is supporting the work of an education charity in Nairobi – Porridge and Rice - by donating second-hand uniform. Good quality clothes, donated by St Benedict’s parents, have been distributed to children living in poverty in the city. Porridge and Rice supports the education of children in the slums of Nairobi, by providing clothing, regular meals, books and basic equipment, as well as health care and sanitation programmes. This work has helped to improve the academic attainment of children in six Nairobi junior schools, helping them to get the high marks needed to progress to high school and to continue their education.

Choosing schools is tough, both as a parent and a student and word of mouth testimonials go a long way to giving an insight into a school’s culture. So ArtsEd is naturally very proud of one comment by a Year 10 pupil. “ArtsEd is one of the most amazing schools I’ve ever been to. It’s fun, it’s creative, it’s exciting – every day is a new adventure! We have such a huge range of subjects here, which brings a special spark to every single day!” Applications for ArtsEd Day School are due 29 November and 31 January 2020.
