Fort Saskatchewan…

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is proud to introduce a brand new look and feel to our Leisure Guide. We’ve switched to a full-colour publication on a different kind of paper. In an era where full colour hi-definition television is the norm, this change will make it easier for readers to see, read and understand the full lifestyle services we provide. We’ve integrated the Harbour Pool Calendar with the Leisure Guide and selected a printer who can provide printing and distribution of the publication at the same cost.

Child-Youth Fitness-Wellness ROCKS AND RINGS The Capital One Rocks & Rings program is designed to introduce the Olympic sport of curling to elementary school children. By bringing the curling rink to the school gym we reach children that would otherwise not have access to the roaring game. The best part? We bring everything to the kids! Curling is a highly social sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. It is a fantastic physical activity that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. It also promotes sportsmanship and camaraderie and is an inexpensive and less dangerous alternative to many other sports. Various drills, relays and teambuilding activities are used to introduce students to the sport of curling. It is a highly interactive program with the emphasis on fun! Unique indoor floor curling equipment is used to provide a true curling experience without requiring ice! For more information on the equipment used in the program, please visit www.kurling.ca.
