Amber works with clients in the healthcare (including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)), not-for-profit, and employee benefit plan industries to provide financial statement audits and other services.
Amber has experience in federal regulatory reporting and compliance requirements, including Uniform Guidance, HUD regulatory reporting, Uniform Financial Reporting, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, and Federal Form 990. She is responsible for overseeing all engagement phases, including planning, fieldwork, and delivery. Amber works closely with her clients to provide them with a deeper understanding of their financial results, internal control matters, and upcoming changes in accounting and financial reporting.

Jordan Birnbaum is a member of the firm’s Valuation Advisory Services practice and is responsible for the day-to-day management of client engagements relating to portfolio valuations for Business Development Companies (“BDCs”), the valuation of business enterprises, and their underlying securities and financial opinions. Jordan has worked across a broad range of clients and industries and has experience in financial reporting engagements for several FASB ASC Topics, including ASC 350 (Goodwill Impairment), 718 (Stock Compensation) and 805 (Business Combinations). His focus has been on the financial analysis, research, and due diligence relating to debt and equity valuations for investments owned by BDCs, private debt and equity funds, fund of funds and hedge funds.

Michael Cannon is a member of the firm’s Government Contracting Industry Practice and specializes in providing audit, consulting, and accounting services to government contractors, technology companies, and employee benefit plans.
Michael possesses a working knowledge of federal regulations, including Small Business Administration (SBA), 8(a) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), cost principles, and accounting policies for federal government contractors. In addition, he has experience consulting client management on overhead allocation methods; preparing overhead incurred cost submissions for the Defense Contract Audit Agency (“DCAA”) and assisting with DCAA.

Matthew Deaner advises his clients on federal, state, and estate planning strategies while providing an array of tax preparation, planning, and consulting services. Maria specializes in tour accounting, tour budgeting, Central Withholdings Agreements (CWAs), business management, international corporate taxation, wealth preservation, accounting complexities associated with art dealers and collectors, tax planning, and consulting to high net worth individuals.

Thomas Garland works with clients on all aspects of forensic commercial litigation, from malpractice and lost profits to fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, and business valuations. Thomas enjoys working to uncover and reconstruct the details that tell the entire financial story of a business.
Analytics and litigation are a major component of Thomas’ work in forensic litigation support, which he cites as the perfect career for someone with an investigative nature. He enjoys working with his clients, as each case is different and therefore requires constant exploratory work and analytical thinking.

Jamie Lontz provides a broad range of assurance services, including financial statement and compliance audits of not-for-profit organizations and public sector entities, as well as audits of employee benefit plans, real estate entities, and middle market companies. Her client responsibilities include performing financial statement audits, communicating planning and audit results to management and those charged with governance, evaluating internal controls, and financial statement preparation.

Sheila Moghimi Kamran is experienced in providing public accounting services, including international firm experience in the areas of tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities.
In recent years, Sheila has focused on working with women during times of transition. Jake Rose is an experienced professional focused in the financial services, life sciences, and technology industries.

Connor Southwell is a member of the firm’s International Taxation Services Practice, advising high net worth individuals and closely held businesses in international tax planning and compliance.
Connor works with both U.S. nationals and business entities with activities in foreign jurisdictions, and nonresidential individuals and companies that seek to establish a presence and economic nexus to the U.S. His specialties include the subpart F and GILTI regimes, foreign tax credit planning, FATCA compliance, and the analysis and application of U.S. and OECD model income tax treaties.

Caroline Uy Reilly’s responsibilities include reviewing the preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. She also provides tax planning services for business entities as well as high-net-worth individuals. Caroline believes in the value of client relationships and strives to provide close and personal attention to her clients. She continually advances her tax knowledge and technicality through higher education to better serve her clients.

Heather advises domestic and international clients on the US federal income tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border transactions in retail, technology, and manufacturing industries.
Heather is a member of the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Practice and provides US federal income tax consulting services to include tax structuring, tax due diligence, and tax modeling for partnerships, corporations, and private equity funds. Prior to her joining Citrin Cooperman, Heather was a senior manager for KPMG LLP’s Mergers & Acquisitions tax practice and their owners. She has also served in the United States Army.

Lauren is experienced in providing international tax compliance and consulting services to multi-national large middle-market businesses and high-net worth individuals. She specializes in US income inclusion calculations and modeling, and advises on international compliance requirements. She is also a leader for ITS initiatives relating to FATCA and pre-immigration planning, among others.
Lauren has extensive expertise leading education within international tax for her team and the firm, and is involved in presenting at internal and external tax education opportunities. She continues to create and implement international tax calculations and models.

Jay Xiang serves clients in a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution, food and beverage, professional services, technology, real estate, healthcare, renewable energy, and private equity.
Jay provides tax consulting and compliance services to multistate corporations and pass-through entities. He also has experience providing technical tax consultations including sub chapter K issues, mergers and acquisitions, international tax expansion and structuring consideration, state and local tax planning, and accounting methods.
