“The emotional and virtual human condition is the main context of my work; pointing to the depths of the human psyche and digging into the spaces of the irrational and wistful, far from a realistic image. My paintbrush emphasizes tension and anxiety, trauma and suffering, those moments of standing on the edge - liminal states of being. My unconventional portraits aim at pointing to the impossibility of defining the subject as a whole, onedimensional and idiosyncratic. The subject is complex, multi-layered or multiplied within myself, yet never identical to myself.”
