National Award winner to remake two superhit Tamil films
ational Award winning Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now acquired the Hindi remake rights of not one but two superhit Tamil films. The first being A.R.Murugadoss’s Ramana which is being remade in Hindi as Gabbar with Akshay Kumar, under the direction of Kirsh, who made Vaanam. The latest addition to SLB’s production bag is that of Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy franchise, Muni.
Anushka - the big budget 3D girl
hile Irandam Ulagam is taking time to release because of its 3D postproduction works, Anushka is moving on to her other committed projects.
udhramadevi, launched in February 2013, is a 3D historical film with Rana Daggubati in the lead, directed by Gunasekar. Perhaps her most ambitious project is the Naan Ee director Rajamouli’s Baahubali, which is made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi at a whopping 100 crore budget.
Dhanush a director, soon!
hile still being a successful actor, Dhanush’s heart also ticks for another thing - direction. When asked about his plans to get into direction by a tabloid recently, Dhanush said that will have to wait.
Every time I decide on directing something, someone comes up with a brilliant script and knocks my socks off. That is why my direction dreams are put in the back burner. But next year I will be sure to direct something,” Dhanush was quoted as saying.
