Jolly LLB 2 is an upcoming 2017 Indian Hindi courtroom comedy drama film, written and directed

by Subhash Kapoor.The film stars Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi.

Saurabh Shukla would be seen in a special appearance in the sequel alongside Arshad Warsi. Annu Kapoor will be the rival lawyer against Akshay Kumar in the film.

Ok Jaanu Ok Jaanu is a romantic entertainer which dips down badly during the second half. It can be given a shot for the romantic drama and the performances by the lead actors.

Story : Ok Jaanu is the story of Adi (Aditya Roy Kapoor) and Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) meet each other unusually and fall in love. While Adi is a video game developer, Tara is an architect. The duo decide to live in a relationship and Tara shifts to Adi’s rented room which is owned by G Shrivastava (Naseeruddin Shah). Six months after their relationship, time comes that Adi has to fly to Los Angeles for his profession and Tara gets an admission in Paris for further studies. It is during this time, they realize their love and the rest of Ok Jaanu is what happens next.

Analysis : The film starts on a fresh note however the Bollywood audience witnessed many similar films in the past. It is the performances which make the film going and the songs are completely melodious and have presented well on screen.

The interval episodes make the film interesting however the entire first half of Ok Jaanu is completely predictable.

The second half of Ok Jaanu dips down badly after a convincing and interesting first half. The movie turns emotional and the dose of sentiment leave the audience irritated. The pace slows down as time proceeds and the pre-climax episodes spoil the entire film’s flavour. The climax of Ok Jaanu has been positive however the second half of Ok Jaanu is a huge disappointment.

Raees Raees is a perfect commercial entertainer which has been blended with enough dose of action, entertainment and romance. A perfect watch this weekend. SRK and Nawazuddin steal the show.

Story : Raees (Shah Rukh Khan) is one of the most talented youngsters who gets attracted to the liquor trade in the dry state of Gujarat.

He works for a popular liquor smuggler (Atul Kulkarni) during his early age after which he decides to step out starting on his own. Soon he becomes the talk of the state and SP Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) keeps him in track. Analysis : The first half of Raees has been extremely perfect and starts off explaining the character of Raees. Each and everything has been taken huge care. The film shifts from action to romance and then to politics without any flaws which will sure entertain the audience of all the classes. The interval episodes make the film quite interesting and the songs have been shot extremely well. On the whole the first half is a package of perfect commercial drama.

The second half turns dull at parts and it dips down however the film picks up again at the much needed time. The dose of action reaches the peaks during the second half and the dialogues in the film have been well written and should be mentioned specially.

Once again the songs have been extremely well shot and placed well. The climax looks dragged however the second half of Raees makes a perfect watch.

Satakarni Legendary actor Nandamuri Balakrishna inched the magical mark of his 100th film and the whole Tollywood was eagerly waiting for the film. It was a surprise but Krish has been brought on to the board to direct the movie and it happened to be a periodic drama. Titled as Gautamiputra Satakarni, the movie has been made on a massive budget of Rs 55 crores.

alakrishna transformed himself into a warrior king and essayed the role of Gautamiputra Satakarni. Shriya Saran is the female lead and Bollywood actress Hema Malini has been roped in to play Balakrishna’s mother in the movie.

Sultan happened to be the biggest opener of 2016 and the movie collected Rs 36.5 crores across the country on its first day.

Sultan happened to mint Rs 20 crores through advance bookings which is the highest ever for any Indian film.

Krish surprised everyone as he wrapped up the shoot of the film in just 79 days. The movie unit assigned the VFX work to several upcoming firms and they worked parallel with Krish and wrapped up the work on time. Gautamiputra Satakarni theatrical trailer has been a huge sensation and it kept the expectations going up.

You never see a top actor taking on roles with disabilities. And yet, you did this thrice (Koi Mil Gaya, Guzaarish and now, Kaabil). What drives you to accept these roles?

Exclusive Interview I don’t know. I think I get very drawn to them because something about these characters resonates with me. I understand the pain, their frustration and probably that’s why I get drawn to such characters. Also, the fact that it’s not just the character, these were scripts that I really enjoyed and therefore, the films, too.

It’s not just the fact that the character is handicapped.

How do you manage such intense, challenging roles?

I don’t know any other way to do it. If I don’t immerse myself completely into my character, I don’t think I will be able to do it well or even say the dialogues. I will be worse than a non-actor, so, the difference will be that much. I have to immerse myself in that character to that extent, so I can live it.

Isn’t it draining to play such characters, film after film?

On the contrary, it’s intensely fulfilling and satisfying. It’s not the act of emptying so much as venting what is inside you. And when you 40

do that, you feel satisfaction, satiated and experience a sense of fulfillment. You feel peaceful. So, it’s cathartic in many ways.

Was it more difficult playing the visually impaired character in Kaabil than let’s say, the character from Koi Mil Gaya?

Yes, because your entire world is what you see. My brain has to dissociate from what is happening in front of me, even though I’m not blind and to pretend that I am not being stimulated by light or not reacting to something that’s moving really quickly right across my face or a fly that is lurking right in front of my face. To not react to these things are spaces where you need to develop your skill to overpower your instincts. Your instinct will be to flinch and react to a bright

light, to not frown when you are shooting in a really hot, bright, afternoon. You will squint. All these were the challenges of playing a blind guy. I got a lot of help from Sudeep, the cameraman and we managed. But yes, this was definitely tougher.

What was the most difficult thing about Kaabil?

Nothing was ‘most difficult’.

Everything was difficult and everything was so easy.

The difficult part was the blind parts — doing action scenes and dancing as a blind person. We prepped for it beforehand and that was so enjoyable! There was so much passion for this film, to build this film and make it.

Did SRK’s announcement that he’d be releasing Raees the same day as Kaabil shock or hurt you, since the two of you are close friends?

No. I was not shocked. I thought that any good businessman would do the same thing. They are allowed to do that. I am not in their shoes. First of all, we would not have announced on someone else’s date, but that’s the way it is.

They may have been in a genuine problem. I have the understanding as a human being and as a businessman that what they are doing is the best that they could have done for their film. Friendship is in one place and business is at another. You have to understand that this is an industry and money matters.

Did you call SRK to try and sort it out?

Yes, yes, even Shah Rukh has tried to not clash. He spoke to my dad.

I sat and spoke with him about this and I guess he put his best effort out there and it was not possible… It won’t affect our friendship. On the contrary, this will lead to a better understanding of each other, which 42

There is no other better way to see it. What’s the other choice? I cannot be upset! They have a film on release and they have to do the best that they can, so once you empathize, you understand.

Have you signed any new films post Kaabil, including Karan Malhotra’s next with Sara Ali Khan?

No. Those are just rumours. There have just been talks, but I haven’t signed anything yet. I am looking for work (laughs)!

Do you see yourself directing in the future?

No. Never. I don’t think I can. I don’t know why… I don’t have the calling to direct. I don’t write scripts. I can think, but I know that the internal calling is not there so till that is not there, I can’t do it. I enjoy every aspect of filmmaking — including post production from editing, sound, design, visuals, VFX and dubbing, I don’t just enjoy acting but the entire film as a whole. I cannot just do my scenes and say goodbye.

The film takes place as Ram, a retired archaeologist, lies on the deathbed, on 6 December 1999, the 7th anniversary of the destruction of Babri Mosque in Ayodhya.

Kamal Haasan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Hema Malini and Atul Kulkarni played the lead roles in the movie. The shooting was started in Madhava Perumal Temple,

Mylapore. Originally, violinist L. Subramaniam was selected as composer for the film but he opted out after which Ilayaraaja was selected as a composer. His background score was recorded by a Symphony Orchestra for the second time for an Indian film, the first time being by Ilaiyaraaja himself three years before for the Malayalam epic fantasy Guru.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan did not ask for any remuneration from Kamal Haasan as he considered it an honour and privilege to work with one of his mentors. Haasan initially intended to title the film as Satya Sodanai, which loosely translates to My Experiments With Truth, the title of Gandhi's autobiography.
