The national touring exhibition "A Day in Pompeii" is now open at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Steven Ellis, an assistant professor of classics at the University of Cincinnati, and his team are the only Americans currently permitted to dig in Pompeii. The exhibition features more than 250 Pompeiian artifacts, photos, videos and information about the excavations and research conducted by Ellis and his team of graduate students. Pictured is a view of the neighborhood under excavation by Ellis and his team. Tickets for the exhibition, which runs through Aug. 12, are $19.50, $17.50 for seniors and $12.50 for children 13 and younger. Tickets for members are $12.50, $8.50 for children 13 and younger.
