About 60 volunteers of all ages spent a sunny Saturday sprucing up Stepping Stones’ Camp Allyn in Batavia in preparation for summer. Movement Mortgage employees, affiliates and their families fanned out across the 47-acre camp in May to spread mulch, remove tree stumps, work on landscaping, and stain picnic tables and benches. Serving individuals with disabilities, Camp Allyn offers a summer day camp for children, teens and young adults, as well as overnight respites for teens and adults and a year-round adult day program. In addition to the full day of work, the Movement Mortgage group held a raffle that raised $850, enough to fund a full “campership” for a young Camp Allyn summer camper. Little and John Wag-

ner, Movement Mortgage market leader, plan to submit a proposal to their corporate Movement Foundation for a $10,000 grant for additional projects at Camp Allyn. The Movement Mortgage project was supported by the following sponsoring businesses: Allstate Insurance, Auxier, Coldwell Banker, Colorful Cupboard, Constructive Living, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, Home Depot, Hytech Automotive, Leaf Guard, Parker Custom Painting, TJ’s Landscaping, and Tombstone Cycles. Stepping Stones is a United Way partner agency serving more than 1,000 people with disabilities in day and overnight programs that increase independence, improve lives, and promote inclusion. www.steppingstones ohio.org.
