This paper analyzes the nature of the economic challenge from China and India, identifying points of strength and weakness in each country’s approach, with particular attention to the likelihood that the education system of each country will be able to continue to support the current steep trajectories of economic growth. The report concludes with a discussion of the implications for education and training policy in this country given the the long term challenge from Asia.
