INTRODUCTION Coffey Environmental Engineering (CEE) offer complete engineering design solutions in the areas of:

Mechanical Services (HVAC) Electrical Services Transport Systems Sustainable and Renewable Design

Coffey Environmental Engineering (CEE) utilizes the most up-to-date technical specifications, coordinated drawing techniques, quality control and rigid control to ensure effective delivery of service

About Us A new era has arrived ! There is a new economic reality that we must adjust to. Coffey Environmental Engineering (CEE) embraces this reality.

Coffey Environmental Engineering is a new company established in 2009 with the aim of providing competitive building services solution for the leisure, commercial, education, industrial & medicate industries. This is a young dynamic company, capable of adapting to new and ever changing challenges.

Our aim is to provide our services at a low cost without compromising quality. We have eliminated unnecessary cost and devised more efficient ways of doing business.

Our fee structure is transparent and clearly sets out the level of service we provide to our clients. We have devised very ingenious ways of reducing our cost and hence this cost saving is passed on to our clients.

Service To Architects As Part of our services, we provide the Architect with:

Advice on Building Faรงade & Fabric Design U-Value Calculations Concept and Sketch Plan Design for Plant Space Allocation Lighting Calculations Planning Reports Prteliminary BER Certificates Renewable Energy Option Reposrts During the Planning Stages of the Project

This ensures that the project runs smoothly through the planning stage and that the project complies fully with planning building and Health & Safety Regulations.

Water Treatment & Purification Systems Typical problems with water supply are, hardness, mineral deposition such as iron & magnesium, odour and taste, bacteria and pollutions such as nitrates & sulphates. We consider all the following treatments when selecting water treatment solutions: chemical dosing, ionic water sterilisation, magnetic water conditioning, ultra violet disinfection, and reverse osmosis (RO). Whether your water supply is used fro drinking, cooking, process or medicare we will design the most cost effective and safe solution for your water supply problems. We at CEE are involved in the design of water treatment systems for both domestic and commercial swimming pools. The personnel at CEE have extensive experience in the design of filtration, oxidation, and dosing systems for large municipal swimming pools, commercial pools and domestic pool installations. We also specify specialist equipment such as bubble pools, Jacuzzis, sauna’s, slides and play features.

Transport Systems

CEE specifies internal transport solutions for all building types. We can specify the optimum solution for your building. Whether your building requires: Vertical transport lifts Escalators, passenger conveyors Heavy goods lifts Industrial lifts Universal access platform lifts

Sustainable Design At CEE we pride ourselves for being at the cutting edge of sustainable design. We keep up to date with current changes in technology in order for us to deliver best value sustainable design solutions for our clients. Our methodology from the start to the finish of our projects is centered around sustainable design. We, at CEE, know that sustainable design not only means that we are preserving our environment and finite resources for future generations but it also means real financial savings for our clients. In order for sustainable design to be effective we must be involved at the earliest concept stage of the project. From the outset of our involvement in a project we carefully consider and report on the following sustainable options. Some of these options don’t even have capital cost implications and are automativally incorporated into the design as good practice.

High efficiency heating plant including biomass woodchip and pellet boilers Building façade, fabric and insulation analyses—part L compliance Renewable energy sources— wind/heat pump/biomasssolar/ hydro Combined Heat and Power solutions District Heating Daylight and light controls

Energy Audits:

Energy and Assessment

BER

Building energy rating and the accompanying advisory reports are required by legislation to be provided to the prospective buyer or lease holder of non domestic buildings when constructed, sold or rented. The greater amount of energy used in a building per square meter, the lower the building will be rated. The purpose of the BER is to encourage developers and property owners to upgrade the energy performance of their buildings CEE has been a registered BER assessor for level 3 & 4 non domestic buildings since July 2009.

Energy used in commercial buildings is primarily used for, lighting, power, heating and cooling. Energy auditor surveys are used to identify energy use patterns and potential cost savings that can be achieved. Because CEE have expertise in building services we are the best placed to assess and advise on energy usage in buildings. Significant energy cost savings may be available to you without having to invest in major refits. CEE offer one initial free consultation (Commercial or Industrial only) to advise on our service. We at CEE review and advise on the following when carrying out an energy audit: Energy providers and tariffs Alternative & renewable energy solutions Controls and zoning Energy Management systems Energy target & verification CHP feasibility Building fabric Training

Legal Services CEE provide the following services, valuation, budget estimating, problem solving, expert witness, reporting and where necessary cort appearances on all matters regarding building services. We provide expertise in the following areas: Ventilation & Air Conditioning Heating Water Supply Systems Controls Electrical Distribution Generator Installations Lighting Fire Alarms and Security Internal Transport Systems Acoustics & Vibration etc. Barry Coffey is a Chartered Engineer and has over 15 years experience in the building servies industry.

Methodology Fee Proposal: On receipt of sketch plans or outline client brief, CEE will outline a range of fee options and payment plans for different levels of service to be provided. Whether your project is a public works contract, design build, or conventional contract we will give you fee options outlining the different levels of service on offer to you. We will advise on the optimum service we think is best for your project and then you can make a fully informed decision on the level of service to be provided. Design brief and budgets: Firstly CEE receives the design brief from the client and agrees budgetary restraints. If the client does not have a detailed design brief, CEE will prepare a client brief and advise of cost. This may entail liason with user groups, facility management etc.

Concept design: CEE will work closely together with the Design Team to develop sketch schemes and schematics incorporating the requirements of the design brief within the budget costs agreed. All space planning for services, such as plant rooms, boiler houses, electrical switch rooms
