Samut Prakarn a province located on the outskirt of Bangkok,that becomes a destination for tourist to escape from the busy city. A simple and rural yet industrialize province that often attract thousands of visitors each year. The site of this project is located in the Paknam district, a district that situated to a large body of fresh water. A paradise for fishermen to catch and raise the fish. The local fishermen use the self made net to catch fish and other animals


Net skin : deduce all noise pollution from the traffic, fresh market and, neighbors while still able to absorb the locally senses whether from wind breeze, a smell of fresh morning, rain shower, or seeing the local life style but still maintain our privacy.

DUNE INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION


Project Description DUNE is an interactive landscape responds to the environment of Huahin. We believe that the space can be dynamically enclosed in a different way according to various programs and activities. However, not only the people but also the site condition is allowed DUNE to interpret the reconfiguration of space in a format of living thing.

Aiptasia, while considered a pest among coral reef aquarium hobbyists, serves as a valuable model organism in the study of cnidarian-algal symbiosis. Typically a polyp harbors one species of algae. Via photosynthesis, these provide energy for the coral, and aid in calcification.The algae benefit from a safe environment, and consume the carbon dioxide and nitrogenous waste produced by the polyp.

Because polpy is located in open sea which is possible to encounter giant wave. According Thai Meteorological Department, the highest wave amplitude is around 3 meters in open sea however there are some fisher men reported to witness wave that about 5 meters tall. Therefore safety precautions are required. Test conduct in 3 different scenarios, on the bottom is in normal condition where the amplitude of the wave is at maximum and began to fall and continuously move forward. The middle test is under condition in which tall buffer is placed to cease of advancement the wave which result to be failure due to the left out energy still able to transmits through underside of the buffer. Finally the top test is under condition in which series of low-rise buffers are placed to gradually reduce wave energy. The final stage shows satisfying result, the wave amplitude is minimal level efficiently. In addition is solution also allowed visitor to be able to view the scenery clearly as well

01 The main problems for the reefs of Southeast Asia is land run off and overexploitation. The reefs are SEA are in desperate times, with large decreases in abundance and diversity due to lack of protection. In 2008, as much as 40% of the reefs in SEA have already been effectively destroyed (compared with 19% globally). Only 15% of the reefs in SEA are considered healthy (compared with 40% globally). If things continue has they have been, 33% of the coral species in SEA are at risk of being lost in the very near future. Climate Change (such as the more severe/frequent bleaching events) is the biggest and most difficult problem to solve (Wilkinson 2010). The GCRMN is establishing a group of volunteer coordinators from 80 countries to send in papers fro the next edition of the Status of the Worlds Coral Reefs Report (2012), for more information search for the GCRMN website

Reefs around the globe are threatened by human activities, and many scientists feel that much of the world’s reefs could be lost in the next 100 years. Like many parts of the world, the economy on Koh Tao is reliant upon our natural reef areas and the visitors they bring. With these two facts in mind, Marine Conservation Koh Tao has made a goal of researching and constructing coral nurseries around the island. It is hoped that these nurseries can help to increase the reef area around Koh Tao and provide a means of restoring damaged areas faster than would naturally occur.
