Segal arrived at the Unlimited Potential Program through a government referral program. In February of this past year, she completed the course. The Unlimited Potential Program provided Segal with tools that were relevant in today’s workforce. For the first time, Segal was learning valuable office skills, like how to operate programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. She also learned important job searching techniques, like how to write a stand-out resume. Segal enrolled in a special workshop designed to provide support and instill useful tools for starting a new job. The workshop focused on adapting to a new work environment and adjusting to the changes that come with a new position. Through the Unlimited Potential Program, Segal received a great deal of support. The instructors ensured that she understood the materials, and that she felt comfortable with the abundance of new information. The social workers spoke with Segal and listened to her concerns about entering a new workforce. Segal shares, “this program was a shoulder of support in my time of need. I was given strength and confidence thanks to this program.” The Unlimited Potential Program and the staff gave her the support and care that she needed to feel self-assured.
Segal turned to the Unlimited Potential program to change her life.
After Segal completed the Unlimited Potential Program in February, she went on interviews at various companies. She was confident in her capabilities and wanted to see herself reach her potential. When asked about her interview experiences she says, “I was proud of myself in the interviews. I felt that I had a lot to offer. I introduced myself with confidence and was not afraid. I know that I have an amazing toolbox and this is because of the Unlimited Potential Program. Thank you!” After a series of interviews, Segal was hired as an office manager.
